Advice needed please I got questioned by police on the bases "accused of harassment" I got questioned and it was dropped. Will this show on a enhanced dbs???

Yes but will not effect ur job due to being dropped u wasn’t found guilty of it so your fine just shows that something happened but was not found guilty

I've been searching online to find who is responsible to pay for the DBS check. I have no convictions and the recruitment agency have asked for DBS check but want to charge me £25 for it. I don't work in a sector that requires a DBS check and a basic check costs £18, i can't find any information anywhere if i am obliged to pay this to secure work or if the agency has a right to charge me for this check.

I wish I saw this 10 months ago but no it’s not legal for them to charge you. It should be a free service the workplace must carry out for all potential employees

I’m worried as I was with the wrong crowd 6 years ago originally got charged for posession of a shotgun . When it got to crown court the charge was dropped against me and I was convicted of affray instead . Will an enhanced dbs show the shotgun charge 6 years later even tho it was dropped ?

It can only come up on enhanced dbs checks if police consider it relevant to what u applied for

@@iBOXRIVER yes mate came back last week . It only showed my convictions and prison length . Didn’t show chargers I was arrested for but not charged . Thankfully lol

There needs to be a complete overhaul of the DBS update service, and DBS service for health and social care workers. There is No opportunity to set up a direct debit nor standing order. There is No opportunity to change your details immediately on receiving a new bank card. There is only 30 days to join the update service from receiving a paper Certificate through the post. There is no chance of joining the update service if in 'position applied for' says 'Covid 19 healthcare worker' There is No opportunity to receive your DBS via email, despite an email reminder being sent before it expires, only when you receive an email before it expires can you use the link to then change your card details. If you do not receive an email prior to your DBS expiring, you may not know it has expired. You will receive your certificate through the post ( eventually) but you will not receive any further through the post to remind you to renew, when it is due to expire.

Stage 4 takes the longest expect 2 months minimum, stage 5 takes 2 - 3 weeks
