Going to V8 swap my '95. Your spare tire is too heavy for the tailgate. Will degrade the hinges.

I give an "A" for effort but coming from a certified auto body technician...never under estimate the expertise needed to repair and paint vehicles to factory spec.😮

As someone who also has a stutter, good for you for putting yourself out there on KZbin and doing what you love. People don’t understand the anxiety a stutter can cause someone

Wow great effort bro. Except we seldom learn tech skills by trying to do them. We learn better by educating ourselves and watching pros do this same repair. Yea we then have to practice. But we don’t jump right into a nice car and grab cardboard and a diy sander. Ans expect results. Practice first. Always. As a restoration guy myself I have years of experience doing mechanical Ana body work on cars. Collision repair and a dozen restorations. I didn’t get to where i am now by guessing what to do. So even though you are more than entertaining your video has very little value. Because those of us wanting to get educated are not here to learn only what not to do. We need to know the exact steps that are correct and in their proper order. As well as we want to know the right tools brand name materials and the best and easiest ones to use. Which are affordable. But thank you so much for the entertainment. Other than cringing each time you had an idea to try something new, I must respect your tenacity and perseverance. Most would have given up on this for sure. Next time just watch some pros and then tackle what you’ve learned and know how to make work. You will save time money materials and redos. God bless.

Nice looking Jeep! Working on the suspension always turns out to be a bigger pain than it looks. Rusted bolts are a pain! I’m facing a similar job soon. Saw your busted knuckle at the end. Ugh. Reminded me of what I’m in for 😬

I have the same mindset as you. I have noticed going to car shows when striking up a conversation, that most people just write a check and have someone else do the work. I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment myself and being able to say I did the work. I painted my 69 Corvette in the late seventies and made mistakes in the process. The paint deteriorated over the years and looked awful. I am now in the process of doing the car over. I pulled the engine, replaced the radiator, fuel lines, gas tank, upgraded to a 5 spd transmission and started to do the paint over. The interior will be after that...I guess I should be doing videos. I just turned 70 by the way, good luck on your ventures !

I like your videos. The front and rear "U" parts of the shaft, that holds the cross-pieces, should be at 90°, and not at 180° as you have. Thats the issue. Accually you made it worse. You do not need a "doble cardan". I bet you I'm right. Now that you hace the same angles matching, just unweld one "U" of the shaft, and weld it at 90°. I hope I am expresing my self good enough. Regards from Patagonia, Argentina. Nacho.

“If you didn’t know” and it seems you didn’t, Corvettes have not been made of fiberglass since 1972. Starting in 1973, Corvettes have been made from SMC (Sheet Molded Compound), which has some similarities to fiberglass; however, it’s not fiberglass.
