Three isn't even the maximum number of planets one can see in the sky with the naked eye. Many say they have seen Mercury with the naked eye too, which would imply that one could see with the naked eye the five bodies of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Even Uranus can be seen with the naked eye, by some people. But after all, one will on the occasion here presented at least also see Earth. Earth is in the sky too, that one stands on it won't change this.

How do you know it's from another star ? Our solar sistem is full of meteorits and asteroids.The Okam razor says the probability to be from another star is much more reduced.

love the fact that you go over the derivation, most textbooks just give the formula and leave it at that :-) one point: for the binomial expansion to converge don't we need -1 < x < 1? x >0 should be straightforward to see but how do we know x<1? also, i would love to see comprehensively where other things came from (why number of modes is as given, why energy density=number of modes * average standing wave energy, why probability of particular mode has energy En is as given)

After an alignment, watch the sun's activity from one week to one month after it happens. Last few planetary alignments that have happened, our sun begins "acting up" with giant solar flare activities and sunspots growing larger.
@HansDunkelberg119 минут бұрын
You mean due to some gravitational effect? But such an alignment only is a visual one for an observer on Earth, the planets are not really in a line.
@Pterelaos16 сағат бұрын
This is all bullshit. How can they become aligned since Uranus is currently seen towards the direction of Taurus , Neptune and Saturn are seen towards the area of Pisces and Pluto is seen towards the direction of Aquarius ??

@@louise7552 no. All the planets were visible to the naked eye
@HansDunkelberg132 минут бұрын
@@lj6079 I do not assume that you saw Saturn's rings with your naked eyes. By the way, Mercury can always only be seen close to sunset or sunrise, because of its proximity to the Sun.

In the near future, would a space station orbiting Venus be considered worthwhile? With rotating crews of scientists observing and monitoring experiments below? Venus, closer to the Sun and inside Earths orbit, makes her closest approach to Earth every 7 months. Mars, further from the Sun,beyond Earths orbit, is every 2 years. In mean orbital distances from Earth, Venus is 42 million kms; while Mars is 78 million kms, nearly twice the distance. On the ISS, only hours from Earth, crews perform 6 month missions; for lunar GATEWAY, 3 days from Earth, crew missions of 30 days are forecast. Fastest crewed voyages to Mars take 7-8 months but are bi-annually; Venus journeys would take 3-4 months and be only half-yearly. Could a "window" of 2-3 weeks be avaliable for a small team to crew a Venusian space station? Of course, the Venus mission rockets and spacecraft would be of lunar in-situ origin: built on the Moon; launched for assembly in lunar orbit; fueled with lunar rocket fuel; and launched to Venus from High Earth Orbit (15% cost of Earth built, fueled and launched rockets). A name for the Venusian outpost: ALECTRONA - Greek goddess of the morning.🌒☀️
