Hi there, we didn't go on any excursions or do any shopping during this trip. From past experiences, all the excursion sites take credit card (although I highly DON'T recommend this method of payment). If you are planning to do excursions, they range about 70-200 per person. We usually set aside 30-40 dollars for tips everyday (this is optional, the price you paid actually includes tips).

For the restaurants, I’ve read from other post that you’ll have to make reservations, could we go to one without making reservations?
@KeevasFamily4 ай бұрын
Hi there. Yes, you can just walk in. The only one that requires reservation is Zen (Tappenyaki). We actually didn't know so we went without a reservation. They told us if we don't have a reservation, we can only eat sushi, not teppanyaki. After checking with another staff, they realized a family with reservation didn't show up, so we took their teppanyaki place at the table.

Thank you for sharing. did they make any problem for the room since you have 4 kids ?
@KeevasFamily5 ай бұрын
Hi there, we have 3 kids. We booked 2 rooms because the grandparents also tagged along. When we booked, we told the hotel the first room was 2 adults 2 kids, the second was 2 adults 1 kid. When we actually stayed, all 3 kids stayed in my room. We used the ottoman to make a baby bed between the 2 actual beds. If you tell them you want 5 people in 1 room, I think they'll make you upgrade to the larger room, which costs a lot more.

Thanks for another great review. If you had to choose between Royalton splash and crown paradise which would it be ??
@KeevasFamily5 ай бұрын
Royalton splash is miles better than crown paradise. Royalton is truly a 5 star hotel. The service, amenities, shows, food, everything is beyond spectacular. Crown paradise claims to be a 4 star, it's more of a 3.5 star. Of course, it's also much cheaper, so it mostly depends on your budget.

@KeevasFamily hi there, did your family have to purchase travel insurance. I was told it was mandatory?
@KeevasFamily7 ай бұрын
hi there. It's definitely NOT mandatory. However, if you have young kids, you might want to get it for ease of mind. I've been travelling with young kids for many years. Sometimes, the pool water isn't as clean, the food often gave them stomach problems. We've had to use our insurance a couple of times. We have a great credit card which comes with travel insurance for the card holder and their immediate family. So we've never actually purchased any travel insurance. Check with your credit card company to find out if your card comes with travel insurance. If it does, make sure you book your vacation with that credit card.@@lindatran614

Yes, not everyday though. Cold milk right next to the very limited cereal section. They are not consistent with what they put out everyday. Hii!! Me and my family are planning on going here on March 13th, how do you do the reservation? Is it from an Application or you have to go to main lobby to do a restaurant reservation? Please let me know thanks a lot ❤
@KeevasFamily8 ай бұрын
Hi there, there's a desk in the lobby (across from reception desk) which opens at 9am (I believe, double check with reception) everyday. You can make the reservations for your entire trip in one sitting. A hotel worker will help you do the reservation by hand. They'll give you a handwritten note with your reservation info. By 9:30am, there's a huge line going around the lobby, so make sure you start lining up before 9am.

Thanks on the walk through, very cute🙂! Looks very family friendly! Ill be travelling with a 2 year old, any suggestions, I reserved a DC swim out oceanfront, were there issues with reserving chairs? Reserving restaurants, were there any you would avoid, I saw you enjoyed the steak house!?
@KeevasFamily9 ай бұрын
Hi there, I made a tips and tricks video detailing all the things you need to know. You get unlimited amount of towels. There are lots of people who grab a bunch when they eat breakfast and place them onto chairs they want to reserve. I suggest you to do the same because I went during low season, and all the chairs were taken by lunch. Since you have a 2 year old, I recommend saving a seat near the heated pool. It's also a short distance to the beach and a hidden beach bar below. It's my fav spot. If you are diamond club, you can make restaurant reservations through your butler. If you are not, like us, there is no option to reserve. You just have to show up and wait in line. Go right when they open, you'll find a copy of the schedule on your room TV. Please check it out and let me know if you have any questions. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnOzd4x8rbxlr8k

Hi there, I haven't been to Moon palace so cannot give you any comparison unfortunately. From my research, it seems moom palace is a bit more expensive than Royalton. It has a smaller waterpark, but better restaurants. The best hotel we've stayed at is Hotel Xcaret. They've jacked up the price a lot these years. For 6 and 8 years old, I would recommend Occidental at Xcaret. Both the hotel and the park is very family friendly (all at an affordable price) You can get the unlimited Xcaret park pass for 7 days. It's exclusive only to guests who stay in Occidental. I have a video if you are interested, just search Keeva Family Xcaret.

Awesome. Any tips or advice for someone going there in a few months (with a 7 year old)?
@KeevasFamily10 ай бұрын
-If you are planning to go to the Cave restaurant (which opens at 6), send someone to start lining up at 5:30. If you go there at 6, you will be waiting for an hour outside, then be turned away. -the 2 bigger waterslides(green/yellow, and blue) are quite dangerous. Make sure you keep your butt in the air as you slide down to avoid butt injuries. -The kid's club is awesome, make sure you BRING SOCKS for everyone. they are quite strict on this rule. The also don't have any for sale, just keep a pair for everyone in your handbag. -bring tubes for the lazy river. They only have a couple that are free for use. Often there's a lineup for tubes. -Just keep in mind there is no maximum number of towels which you can take out, so many people use them to reserve seats by the pool. If you don't go early, you won't get a seat. if you have anymore questions, just let me know
