My experience asking the current GPT models to do this sort of coding is that you need to spend significant time in the prompt, which this video glasses over; and then, it had better be a pretty small program, because as soon as it gets complex, GPT can't generate enough at once, but also runs out of context window (up to GPT 4o anyway), and doesn't remember what it has written before, so it can't effectively write long programs. The best you can do is have it generate a template and then fill in the functions individually, but it won't coordinate variables well between them, and in the end, you'd almost save time doing it on your own.

If you are experienced in software development, there are indeed scenarios where writing the code yourself might be faster. In such cases, it may be most time-efficient to have GPT generate a partially usable program, then manually complete the areas that are lacking. The balance between time spent writing prompts and coding yourself may shift as improvements like effective prompt templates or an increase in the output token limit are introduced. For those without software development experience, GPT can be a significant time-saver for short or common programming tasks, as it bypasses the need to learn a programming language. However, it might not be practical for longer programming projects.

偶然動画を見つけて、知りたかったことなので「通信」まで続けてみました。 分かりやすくていいですね。説明のスクリプトがとてもうまいです。 例えや切り分け方が巧みで引き込まれます。 半素人的なナレーション（AI？）も好感が持てます。 最後までみます、ちなみに７０代の老人ですが今頃からAruduinoIDEでC言語。 AVRマイコンに初歩的プログラムを書き込み、楽しんでいます。
