Britain's most prominent religious figure, failing to recognise ethnic cleansing "let's not rush to judgement..." pretty much sums up the miserable, cowardly state, of Britain's intellectual establishment.

Sir Kieth is a disgrace to the labour movement. "Human Rights Lawyer"😂 Apartheid and War Crimes apologist more like. What a 🤡 I won't be voting Labour at next GE, not that voting means feck all, just gives us the semblance of democracy in this pseudo democratic Oligarchy.

This has aged so well! Heseltine @ 4:42. '13 years on and the worst level of indebtedness in its history.' It's amazing what an austerity hungry Tory government can 'achieve' in 13 years.

OMG I can't believe The Guardian would employ someone who'd prowl their comments and then go as far as DELETING some!! what would we do without sites like Medialens and Glen Greenwald's Geocities Happy Kitty blog where we're all free to publish anything without being bothered by anyone in the slightest and the most interesting, fair minded debates take place on a daily basis without as much as a single terrorussian loser

Watching this in 2023... Nothing changes, and its such a sad thing that no one is surprised at all. Although, thanks to some aspects of the internet and people (like yourself ) to upload these scandalous clips on KZbin and other popular sharing and social media platforms. More and more people are starting to ask questions and think for themselves instead of being spoon fed by the mainstream propaganda mafia all the time. Best of luck future me and the rest of the worlds population, we're definitely going to need it 🙏

Well it's true that Blair wasn't being driven by opinion polls. The decision to invade Iraq had been made long before any of us ordinary scum had been bamboozled into thinking it was a good idea.

Aged about as well as Afghanistan and all the other Middle East adventures by Western powers. We never learn, and those in power as demonstrated in commemorial articles now, _never_ held accountable. How's that search for weapons of mass destruction going twenty years later? Meanwhile Ukraine is being literally barraged every day, I don't see the same energy from the 'Coalition of the Willing'

I am totally with you on this comment, the BBC are biased against J Corbyn, unfit for purpose. They need a big shake up as we pay for the licence fee. There is no place for these bigots on our airwaves.

Oborne is even more remarkable than that in that he is one of the few genuine, old school conservatives around, he's also one of the few intellectually honest conservatives too. A rare creature and one who's opinions I find genuinely more pertinent and trustworthy than much of the liberal commentariat that is nominally closer to me on the political spectrum.

It's all so painfully familiar: worthy and unworthy victims. On secondary note, the brilliant Leonard Cohen would be turning in his grave to think that a news anchor was using his ironic lyrics in this way. These Cohen lyrics would be more apt: I can't run no more with that lawless crowd While the killers in high places say their prayers out loud.

That's the standard reply when someone brings up our naked hypocrisy. "This is just Whataboutism" and that presumably is supposed to shut down any criticism of the fact that NATO has almost been begging for this war since 2014.

I think the most worrying element of the future is that either Trump, or a clone, will win power at the next US election and further erode 'democracy'. The US is heading for plutocratic dictatorship and dragging the UK and Australia along with it with the full support of the mainstream 'news' media. Along with global warming this makes me truly mourn for this planet. On the upside, perhaps we humans are so fundamentally flawed that a good clean-out is inevitable and for the better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They slag off RT but most of the interviewees are from countries around the world and dissent is allowed! Broad news and images from the rest of Europe is just about extinct on UK TV but for non-UK channels. UKDigital radio is severely claustrophobic with some exception for World Service.
