Yeah, better to avoid any obstacles, cause after couple of minutes when you want to be closer to the drone it will automatically shut off due to “overheating”😢

@@donpablo2 My mini se would overheat if I took to long on and it sat for a bit . Now I took quite some time setting up my mini 3 but no overheating because I had a fan on it the whole time. Winter is On it's way so overheating should not be an issue but next summer it might.

@@martinstreasurehunting yeah, true. But I still wonder why you can’t activate alarm mode after this forced shutdown. It is pointless. How to find the drone in the trees without beeping and flashing?

@@donpablo2 I know enough about these drones since I never had to deal with it. But if the map shows it's last location can you not use GPS on controller to get to the last known location and at least it would give you an area to search ?

@@martinstreasurehunting We did exactly what you wrote. We spent in total over 5 hours for searching. The same evening, and day after. But there were many big trees and bushes, and also rocks. We asked for help local guy who climb the trees, but after 2 hrs said that it is very hard to locate the drone - cause in our opinion it was located up in the trees, So the GPS was useless, we tried to use controller and this location tips, but you know GPS is not so precise, especially in those surrounding. And this local guys asked me twice and he couldn't believe the there is no way to use alarm mode from DJI app and hear or see flash lights from the device.

You know it was about 26 C degrees, during sunset and it was not in direct sun. So that’s why I think that this problem may be visible in normal condition. I heard stories about situations when you try to update Mini 3 Pro at home and the device is forced to shut off cause of overheating 😅 I was also surprised. I was using Mini 2 during our trip in Dominican Republic- so even more hot weather and never had this issue.

@@donpablo2 I'm heading over to a more tropical climate in a couple of weeks for a short break. I'll will keep a very close eye out for this issue
