These are great for like 2 weeks. They are near impossible to properly clean so after about two weeks you start building bacteria that is then dripped into your food. And unlike a cast iron which routinely self sanitizes its grease layers it is away from the heat and has SO MUCH surface area to cool

Getting popped by the grease is a part of the process. In order to master the grease, one must feel the grease.
