Hi m8 :D Can I ask, how do you like this rod compared to the other savage gear rods you have used in previous videos? As i recmember you are familiar with both the parabellum and the sg4 series. Maybe some more? The reason i am asking is that my normal go to rod is a Salmonoid 8,1 7-23 which is absolutely brilliant, but i am looking for a longer rod that can support it for harsher conditions, bombarda fishing, and maybe salmon fishing. Should i stay with the Salmonoid, or do you see another SG model to be a better fit to these tings?

Hi Anders! Good question! Yes I tried a couple of different SG rods. This one is Savage Gear Salmonoid 8’1” 246cm 5-18g is really good for ML spin fishing, but probably would be too short for bombarda fishing and not strong enough for salmon either. The parabellum would be my recommendation for bombarda and heavier lures, but only the Savage Gear Parabellum CCS 10.1’ 12-32gr. Tried the 9.2’ version too but it was far worse than that. The SG4 I have is Savage Gear SG4 Light Game 9'2" 279cm 7-22g that is also a good ‘average’ rod and it is not expensive, I like it a lot. If you think that length would be enough for you, you will love that rod also. But I just like the length of the parabellum better for bombarda. Where do you live? Maybe you know someone close by, who can help you with trying them before buying anything.

Nice to hear that you enjoyed the Parabellum, because i think it is between the Parabellum 10,1 12-32 and the Salmonoid 10 10-30. You can argue that the Salmonoid is a better rod overall, but i think the Parabellum have some interesting features for bombarda with its softer action. The Parabellum is also lighter for some reason. I live in Denmark near Aarhus ;) In Denmark seatrout is the fish to catch, and therefore i found my way to your channel :D
