This is an amazingly persuasive argument presented in a humble, compelling manner. I am going to review this several times because the scripture references are accurate. The American Christian clergy class has become a group of processed food addicted gluttons that claim to serve Jesus in all areas except for the gluttony that appears to be exempt from all sermons. In America the vast majority of pastors are now obese or overweight.

DC heater element is not needed... we have tested 1kW 230VAC (Europe) heater element with 3 x 410W panels which was generating ~130-140V DC and heater worked very well.

I appreciate this video and the effort to explore ethical questions surrounding diet and animal welfare, though I don’t fully agree with some of the points. The arguments here seem to support vegetarianism more than veganism. I believe a better common goal is to end the suffering of animals, which includes rejecting factory farming and any practices that cause needless harm, like separating babies from mothers, confining animals in cages, or over-exploiting bees for honey. Many of these practices are the result of generational norms that fail to question the suffering they perpetuate. However, I think veganism often overlooks an important reality: animals will die one way or another. In today’s fragmented and overdeveloped world, animals face brutal deaths in the wild-starvation, attacks by predators, vehicle collisions, or human conflict in urban spaces. Instead of leaving them to suffer, I believe it’s more ethical to provide them with a safe, loving home where they can live longer, healthier lives and die as humanely as possible. Critics of using animals for food or other resources may consider it exploitation, but a backyard permaculture farmer might view it as a mutually beneficial relationship. Animals contribute by providing eggs, milk, wool, honey, fertilizer, and even meat, while humans give them protection, sustenance, and care. This partnership supports a more sustainable, closed-loop ecosystem. Without this balance, large-scale veganism could unintentionally create homelessness and suffering for animals. In fact, permaculture systems that include animals are often more efficient and sustainable than plant-only systems. Integrating animals in backyard farms or community gardens can take up less space (due to stacking principles) while improving biodiversity, producing more calories, and reducing reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Vegan farming, especially industrial-scale operations like GMO soybean and corn monocultures, contributes to deforestation, harms ecosystems, and decimates bee populations-contrary to the goals of sustainability and harmony with nature. Additionally, natural ecosystems rely on animals for nutrient cycles. Animals convert inedible plants into bioavailable nutrients for humans, such as heme iron, which some individuals may require for optimal health. While some might argue that an Eden-like, plant-based utopia is ideal, it’s not realistic for our current world. Instead, we should focus on solutions that address present challenges, like restoring ecosystems, reducing harm, and empowering local communities through sustainable farming practices. I hope we can agree that the ultimate goal is to reduce suffering for animals and humans alike. By working together, we can move toward more sustainable and ethical ways of living without relying on industrial farming systems that harm the planet and its creatures.

I appreciate this video although I don’t agree with some of the points. None of these points supported veganism (only vegetarianism). I support backyard farms and permaculture as a solution much more sustainable than veganism, and I believe factory farms and the mistreatment of animals is terrible. Unfortunately in today’s overdeveloped terrain mammals would have a terrible life in the wild, without balanced ecosystems to sustain them, with fences and highways cutting across natural migration plains. They unfortunately need us to give them homes for a good life without great suffering and starvation, and we need animals for food and to naturally fertilize and balance ecosystems. Giving animals a good loving home is the best and most sustainable thing you can do for them (backyard chickens for eggs, rabbits, bees, milking goats, etc). Until one day we stop deforestation and destroying our ecosystems and their natural homes. Also you missed a lot of scriptures, like when Jesus said that eating meat and anything is permissible but to not offend and become a stumbling block to the ones who mistakenly think it’s a sin to eat certain types of meat. Also manna with honey isn’t vegan.

Why use HOT sunlight to make electricity to HEAT water, of all things? Why not merely heat the water directly using sunlight? I use a flat plate solar panel filled with peanut oil. It won't freeze in Winter. I use a solar-driven inline pump to transfer it to an insulated receiver inside my house. "Hot" spigots (kitchen & lavatory & shower faucets) -->Draw<-- from a copper pipe running through the HOT oil storage vessel, which acts as a heat exchanger. Nay layers note: the oil gets nearly 500°F on clear days.

So much taken out of context and just him assuming he knows what God thinks. He is sinning by assuming such and it is not backed in scripture. God gave us the animals to eat, it is said many times throughout the bible.

Consider using a heat pump waster heater. It should use about 1/4 the electricity than a restitance heating element. Uses about 600 watts for 5000 btu/hr. of heat. Rheem makes a good one. I installed one in my house. I found it no harder to install than a standard electric water heater. A heat pump water heater ought to pay for itself in savings in 3 to 4 years. Install it in place of the two you have connected together. P.s., Rheem now sells a 120 volt plug in model (I installled a 240 volt direct wired model).

For cold areas, you have to run antifreeze through the external solar water panels. Then pump it through a heat exchanger where it heats your domestic hot water.

What about the scripture in Genesis where it says Abraham shared a meal with God and the meal was meat, cheese and butter. ? Also, when Jesus was asked what foods are ok to eat and which ones should we not eat? Jesus answer was that what enters a man's mouth does not defile him, it's what comes out of his mouth that defiles him. This would have been the perfect opportunity for Jesus to back up what God the father commanded His people not to eat pigs. But because Jesus didn't condemn eating pigs, (😞)now to this day Christians feast on ham on Easter! And bacon pork chops hot dogs sausages etc every other day of the year. Not good. Pigs are the fourth most intelligent animals just behind apes dolphins and elephants. Pigs are treated with extreme cruelty in factory farms and people shouldn't be eating them!

So the electric hot water tank you have you DC power going to has the original thermostat that turns on and off the DC to the DC heating element. I would think the thermostat would also have to be a DC power thermostat since it is acting like a direct on/off switch to the DC power from the solar panels to the DC heating element. It obviously works but for how long before its contacts burn up? Possibly the thermostatic switch should control a DC rated relay that would be made for switching DC power?

My only concern is what happens when the temperature exceeds the temperature setting, I assume the safety is the pressure valve that will automatically open and avoid creating a bomb. I am going to retry my original idea of using a old hot water tank remove the thin metal case of the exterior, paint it black and add one conventional AC element and connect to a solar panel. My application will installed on my roof. Again, my only concern is over heating the water. However I hope that the pressure valve will be sufficient.

I built. A similar system without the breaker just solar panel wired into one standard heating element and the safety I used was all tanks have a pressure release valve if it dies over heat and it only happened once that it got to hot and valve opened so I did not create a bomb

The huge problem that I see here is that Jesus actually died. He died a horrifying long painful death. Possibly, every day he was on the cross there must have been an earthquake larger than the day before. Such a death just to prevent animal sacrifices. The problem is in the "just", for it was not a just. It was a serious matter which is why the son of God died. Do you think that it would be ok for me to be watching Jesus Christ on the cross, crying and shouting with pain, while I eat a piece of chicken in front of him? A chicken is a needles animal sacrifice. It is not even a sacrifice for God, it is a sacrifice to please our taste buds. I think eating meat is, and will always be sacrilegious. We are basically stating that his death was worth nothing. His death was so we would be saved from our barbaric ways. He died to make sure of that. But people who believe in christianity have always tried to jump hoops, and become expert mental gymnastics to make sure we not only eat meat, but thank God for such a barbaric meal.

Thank you for this video. I am the only one that I know who is vegan. With the Keto and carnivore diet, they all tell me that I need to eat meat. I respectfully decline. I always had that gut feeling even as a child that killing animals for food was awful. I have a peace in my soul. I love my dog so much as she gives me unconditional love. Even if you are the only one stand strong.I am healthier than most of my friends. I have 5 acres to care for, I garden with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, rhubarb and a large vegetable garden. I walk, work out daily. I am 66. Most of my friends are weaker, overweight or have medical problems. When I try to talk to them they change the subject or tell me they would rather die than not eat meat. At that point I just stop talking

What you are doing is fine but there is another way. I have 1500 watts of solar panels wired in series to give about 115 vdc. This goes to my water heater which has a standard 115 vac heating element in the bottom of the water heater. The upper element remains connected to 220vac power. It's a 50 gal tank and reaches full temp over the course of a day. The only hitch is I had to create my own temp controller using a thermistor and an Arduino to open up a solid state relay when the temp reached its setpoint. Without the controller, the tank would over pressurize and pop the relief valve.

Im curious if it would be conceivable to have a similar system work on a central heaing unit maybe 3 of these elements with 6 or more panels add a thermostat valve and 12v pump to supply the radiators heat up the tank during the day and use it to run the radiators at night that way the system gets time to heat up.

As with most lies they contain an element of the truth, but your interpretation of the bible is cherry picking verses, epigenesis to support your vegan narrative and and ignoring pertinent scripture. The Good Shepherd story is totally out of context because they weren't literally sheep, but followers of Christ. Jesus actually ate lamb and fish while here on earth. The first sacrifice by Able was a sheep. In Egypt, God commanded them to kill a lamb, spread the blood on the door frame and eat the lamb. Now, I don't care if you want to be a vegan, but don't distort the bible to tell your lies. That is God's word. If that is how you read the bible, then you are not a Christian.

Why two separate tanks. Could you not just have one tank with the 12v element in the bottom and the standard mains one higher up? Just a thought.
