JP is considered a top 8 character, but not even top 5 by most pros. Weaker players can’t handle JP. Luke, Deejay, Juri, Ken, Marissa, and Guile are all considered much stronger.

Rooting for Sagat and Sonnyb but the amount of time the King has to spend in the corner and the effort it takes to get out always makes me a bit sad (just listen to 16:19 - 16:28, even the host is "joking" about 'finding the corner'). Can't survive without v-reversal/v-shift in many close pressure situations while he needs meter so hard to compensate for his slow normals. Hope Sagat will return less vulnerable in sf6. 🤜🤜🤜
