If you’re going to 120th, in your first night in reception you’re not going to sleep and if you do. ASK YOUR DRILL SERGEANT about “Fireguard” Save your self from a midnight smoking

They get to sleep on the first night? lol. I got there at 11:00 Tuesday night and didn’t even see a barracks room until that Thursday night.

Sat in this reception for over a month, got smoked by a supposed “drill corporal”. Was later told he was just a holdover for airborne school and he was never seen again. Would love to see that dude again and the sgt who dropped me from being from the same neighborhood in sd. Would love to see him again too wall to wall counseling

Went there this year. Reception is WORST part of basic training. This triggered my PTSD.

Went there also and they make your ass stand in the cold for hours, it was the fucking worst. So People were fucking passing out from locking their knees out too.

@@MarcusX01I remember standing for 2 hours in the cold just to enter the dfac. We were wearing our PT uniform with long sleeves and shorts and the standard issued boots. Worst part of my career so far

Went to Jackson May 74'...they took us by cattle truck to BCT from Reception Station. Was scary and when arrived the first guy wouldnt get off the truck after Drill Sgt kicked opened door--he grabbed the guy threw him off and his duffel bag on top of him and we all ran out so fast he was still lying down, and over the top of him we went. Nice to see they changed that process in this video. WW2 wooden Barracks were our accomodations.
