Wow, just found this channel and it deserves more love. I'm about to embark on making a timber frame building that is a climbing gym/ sawmill compound (weird combo I know) and this video gave me some great ideas. Also what an interesting dude Matt is! I hope you don't give up on this channel because the climbing community is growing and I believe you are going to find something that works if you keep pushing. Love it man. I'm about to binge watch your channel.

Open feet is an interesting concept. Gym routes are so morpho, usually favoring smaller frames.

Super cool but what about all the chalk falling on your bed
@paulvervalin30414 ай бұрын
The blue sheet (seen in the video) is *not* part of our bedding. It covers everything and keeps it clean. We roll the actual bedding up at the foot of the bed before each climbing session. Chalk residue has not been an issue at all.

@vinceam1 you mention 10 inches is ideal spacing between the MB and your wall, do you think 6” is enough or is that too tight?

Hey cool home gym! I'm looking around at other home KZbinrs as I've just gotten started on KZbin creating myself. Love your complete flooring pad. Where'd you get it? I'm just using bed mattresses...

I got mine from Facebook Marketplace. Took some consistent searching, but ended up finding it for a steal from a school that was upgrading their flooring.

Awesome, I'll keep my eyes out for that kind of stuff. Very cool. To your other comment, I don't have Instagram or any social media, but thanks for the offer. I'm just having some fun re-learning video editing and seeing if anyone is helped or enjoys what I've learned and done. I don't know how long I'll be a youtuber :) Fun for now!@@HomeClimbingWallTV

I used to throw them in the back of my truck and take them to a car wash and spray them down that way since I didn't have a pressure washer. Worked great.

Only real option is to buy used if you happen to be in an area with a lot of climbers. Otherwise, yeah it gets pricey.

well for awhiel back i found out parkour athlets has a move in parkour called a climb up which pretty much is a perfectly efficent mantle, they had diffrent levels on it apprently i think from 1-4 or 5 where each level is more efective than the last, defantly a thing to look into if you haven't, thought it was a cool thing to mention after this episode, and yea the gym i regulary climb at has a flat top of the wall on every wall, but if you go up there the workers there complain, well at least the headsetter which im a good friend with, i remember pretending i was going to do it once and got a complain about it and than jokeningly went up to try and bathang from the top(of course i didn't commit even at that as im not to confortbal doing bathangs)
@HomeClimbingWallTV2 жыл бұрын
I actually used to do Parkour before I got into climbing. There's a lot of good stuff in the climb up, but the catch is that 99% of the time that's done on a perfect 90 degree angled wall, vs bouldering your face and top are all over the place. The driving of the leg is super helpful at times though!
@KelvinClimber2 жыл бұрын
@@HomeClimbingWallTV yea defantly allot we can learn from a parkour climb up as climbers, and allot patkour athleths can learn about parkour from taking part of climbing, specially now when gyms take a more parkour aproach to climbing

What do you recommend indoor space or outdoor space. Ideas for both?
@HomeClimbingWallTV2 жыл бұрын
In general, I prefer indoor because it's easier to control the environment and will typically last longer. The first Episode in the series features an outdoor wall that has a roof and good side coverings though, so depending where you live that could work.
