Good coverage guys .. I heard King say on SEN Langford had an abdominal injury around the time he went bad. I think for whatever reason Scott gives players a little longer than most coaches ... He should be in the habit 1 bad game (have a word) 2 bad games (have the talk) 3 bad games (back to the VFL) no matter who you are.

It boils down to sheer mental toughness. Other than Merrett and possibly 2 or 3 others, it is not there. The same issue applies in kicking it through the big sticks. Sadly we lack hard arses and have since the Sheeds era.

This game is all about getting to finals and then winning. So who cares if we get done first up? At least we got there. That is the goal each year. Bringing in a heap of younger players at this time of year because we want to look at them is not the right option. A few like Hobbs and Tsatas need consideration but Wangerneen ??? That time has passed. We need to get into the 8. Our future is not playing Weiderman and Hindy who unfortunately are on the out!

Kinnear Beetson at Sydney is on record as saying he looks at mindset and draftees feeling about losing as well as athletic ability. Look at their list....compared to us...well?? Mental toughness means everything! Matt Rosa would do well taking a leaf out of that book.

I was absolutely gutted after the loss to Adelaide. I haven't felt like that since the saga. Just really need to get back to 4 quarter basics this week. Do them well all game and that is were we will move forward.

Mindset or mental toughness is right on the mark. We called it the edge earlier this year. That is the difference between the really good teams and the wannabes. Dylan Shiel played out of his skin in the 2's last weekend. He will be a good inclusion.

Tiges turned up to play at Dreamtime. 4 or 5 premiership players who actually played well. The fact we held up and won is great. Against Suns our midfield needs to step up. If Duz and Calders can shut down Rowell and Anderson like we did with Bont and Bulldogs we are actually in this one. Pressure and attitude will be the difference.
