Just found out about this cool Sony TT yesterday and the other model PS-Q7. I’m trying to get one, but the PS-Q7 is going for $400. to $700. and many are not working and need to be repaired. This is the first silver PS-Q3 I’ve seen , but seen the original repair manual and i listed 2 models. I guess in the early 80’s when this came out, black was the trendy color for stereos and silver was being fazed out bc imthat was more 70’s.

Btw. this sounds like a house record and what’s playing? Actually in 99-2000, when I owned a record store, there was a uK house record that had I think this record player on the cover. It wasn’t a big known artist and I can’t remember who it was.

I’m looking to get one and wondered about the cartridge and needle replacement for this unit. Didn’t know it was pretty hard to find. Hope you found it and I’ll make sure to get one with a cartridge. Os the needle also hard to get and not a standard p mount?

I bought these in 1979 I believe. Mine say MA Pro-1. Still have them. They still sound awesome after all these years. No regrets!

Looking at the bass units the bass potential of this speaker must be awesome in a normal sitting room . I have smaller 301s on stands and those are deep for sure.
