they had to spoil this old-school ride it was better when the cars ran on petrol ⛽ but in april 2024 the rides gone for good sadly the end of a 60 odd years old era.

It’s so weird, I used to go to Pleasure Beach a lot as a kid (and still do) from around 2001, and neither me nor my parents remember this ride. I remember everything else at the park and LOVED dark rides, especially the Gold Mine and Noah’s Ark… but it’s like this one didn’t exist. Truly spooky, especially considering the amount of time I spent at Beaver Creek on the Zipper Dipper!

Miss this mouse rip

I used to have many nightmares because of those freaky characters on that ride. I’m glad it’s Nickelodeon Land now.

Magic Mountain freaked me out as a kid. Also my best friend broke her leg on this ride!

I remember my mum taking me on this when I was little, would have been around 40 years ago now.

This wasn't relocated to southport, the ride at Southport came from New Metroland.

Does anyone know what happened to the animatronics or if anything survived

So I'm guessing that Merlin use to turn off all the laser targets every scarefest, essentially returning Duel back to its previous form, The Haunted House? Nice

Old MacDonald’s farmyard got rethemed to cbeebies land on the 24th may 2014.

I had to stand by that thing for an hour. That laugh is now engraved in my head.
