Yes, original exhaust! What you hear in the video is the inlet sound which overpowers the exhaust. Sounds very good, and is pretty loud! Though the original exhaust is an ugly thing, which might warrant a replacement... For the sound however, I would prefer this inlet sound.

I purchased it from a local Honda dealer. Part number is 08U72-MKN-D50. It was around €250. If you search for this number on Aliexpress there also seem to be genuine ones on there, but since the original wasn't that expensive I did not want to gamble on it.

I bought the CB650R, it also has good stock exhaust sound. That's nice since you can't purchase slip-ons anymore nowadays

May I ask what made you choose the 650r over the Hornet? Most would say looks and 4 cylinders. I hope you can extend on that.

Mostly because of the looks, the 650r has a somewhat retro look with the rounded headlight. Furthermore I did not really like the colour scheme of the Hornet and I just happened upon a 650r that I really liked. It is a very different bike to the hornet though, the hornet is a very good machine and I would love to own one still.@@florme6494

The exhaust is pretty loud for a standard exhaust to be honest. But this bike also has a pretty great inlet sound which I couldn't really capture for this video. Personally I would be fine with just the standard exhaust. The acceleration is not sluggish at all, this bike pulls from the get-go. You don't have to wait for power it's just there across the whole rev range, there is a major difference wether you put it in sport mode or normal. On sport mode the bike does power wheelies in first and second gear if you're hard on the throttle. This bike feels very refined, you can hardly feel the engine vibrations and shifting is just butter. Personally I am going to switch to this from the SV650 which is already a very refined bike. I like the extra power from the honda and it just feels like an all-round better bike.

@@MotoMeesterI would agree with you. The bike pulls especially 2 3 4 gears with wide open throttle using the quickshifter in sport mode or a custom mode with traction control/anti wheelie control switched off is great fun.

@@johnflavin1602 I didn't really drive on bumpy roads but the suspension is fine, it's not too stiff not too soft, and it rides well.

i had the bike for about 3 months now the only 2 things i am unhappy about is the seat height is a bit low when you are 189 cm tall and the seat comfort after about 100 km ride

Netjes! Ik zit zelf te kijken naar een vervanger voor mijn SV650 uit 2019. Ik heb nog niet op de nieuwe suzuki gereden maar ik denk dat het wel de Hornet gaat worden. Deze voelt wel een beetje als de beste in deze klasse. Wielophanging, remmen en de motor voelt allemaal top.

@@MotoMeester Dat is goed nieuws, en klinkt idd als een mooie opvolger, A.s weekend is er bij Goedhart Honda experience en dan ga ik de cb650R ook nog testen en de Hornet bewonderen, helaas was de lijst voor de Hornet vol. Btw de Suzuki is leuk maar vind toch iets te hoog geprijst voor het segment.

Veel succes, ik denk dat het gewicht van de 650 je tegen gaat vallen!

Ja, dit was de standaard uitlaat. Ik was zelf erg verbaasd van hoe luid deze al is met de originele uitlaat. Toch is het ook wel leuk om het geluid van de inlaat zo onder je te horen brommen met tijdens acceleratie. PS. Kijk ook mijn andere video van de triumph, deze heeft vooral inlaat geluid en dat klinkt ook erg leuk, die heeft ook de standaard uitlaat!
