44 year old man and CNA here, about to start an EMT-B course Jan 2025. I mention CNA because I actually bought a copy of the textbook we used, Mosby's 10th edition for nursing assistants, that has a whole section on medical terminology. I'm doing a pre-study in terminology with a combination of that book, videos like this - as well as reviewing my book from my ACLS course. This video kicked my learning up a notch👍

Thank you for actually going through the what, why and reasons for each thing. And what to do and not to do and each step. This has helped tremendously. The online videos of people just "doing the assessment or skill " doesn't do anything for me. These videos have made me progress much farther than expected in my new 911 EMS , 3rd service position

Hey everyone, just wanted to say thank you. I’m an EMT in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and I just wanted to let you guys know that these videos are always helpful, enjoyable, and great to listen to when I’m on the way to work. I always feel like I can learn something new or gain a little bit more perspective, and I’m sure as you guys know this there is always more to learn no matter how much experience you have. Thank you!

Hey guys!! MN EMT here, 9 months in. Just want to say a huge thank you for providing so much material on this channel and making it publicly available. Your work is way more engaging than my CAPCE review courses, and I’ve learned many new things from bingeing your lectures & “Basically EMS” videos. Wishing you all fully stocked EMS rooms this season. 🎄🚑

"I really appreciate this video showing an unsuccessful patient assessment during the exam. It’s helpful to see real-life examples of what can go wrong, as it gives us a chance to learn and improve. It’s not just about showing success but also understanding mistakes. Thank you for sharing this! If possible, could you also post a video related to administering Entonox? That would be incredibly useful as well."
@IamQrock14 күн бұрын
I really enjoy these videos. I also appreciate the fact that they showed a video of a failed attempt. This not only shows that just because you fail once that doesn’t mean you’ll be unsuccessful, but it also shows that you really have to study, know the material, and the steps needed to properly assess the patients. I’ve been so locked in. I’m an EMR right now. I know some people feel it’s a waste but I’m going for EMT right now and I’m a stronger EMT student because of it. Very similar psychomotor skills to EMT so my second set of psychomotor skills for EMT will be that much more fluid and seamless. Thanks for taking the time to post these vids. I definitely tune into them all!
@IdahoMedicalAcademy10 күн бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to write such a nice comment! Everything you said is so true and will absolutely set a student up for success!
