I'm still gutted every time I remember that he's gone. I grew up lurking the Bit Blot forums. He was the reason I thought I could get into indie game dev. His music was, and eternally remains my foremost musical inspiration. The highest praise I can give any OST is that it comes close to Aquaria's in beauty, or in how much it brought the world to life. To this day I can count on 1 hand with fingers to spare the number of game OST's I would give that praise. He had some fascinating things to say about game design, and for years my ultimate dream was to one day reach the lofty goal of making something worthy of comparison to his works, and maybe at some point, getting the chance to just sit down and chat to him about game design and stories, as a peer. In the next life perhaps. Until then, I hope God gives him his own contingent of angels to use for choirs so he can mess around with music in heaven, and he'll always be listed as an inspiration in my works.

I never thought that me just innocently curious about who made my fav game (Aquaria) would end up in me finding out about the tragic story of Alec and the horrible woman, Zoe, that ruined his life. We will never know what games he could have made… rest Alec. A stranger misses you tonight..

Dude... there is literally zero to no evidence that alec actually did any of that.. isn't it always, "Innocent until proven guilty"? Why was it "Guilty until proven innocent" in alec's case? Zoe has anyways been known for lying a LOT. Alec never did any of this, zoe just wanted clout, she was jealous even, you could say. Zoe's the one at fault here, and the blood of an innocent person will always be at her hands. She never got sued... or anything like that, it's a shame how people like alec end up like this whilst people like zoe walk free.

I loved his music when he was alive, but now hearing him play fills my heart with a great sadness that can only be explained as listening to the Ghost of who he used to be. Rest in peace Alec.

It has past two weeks and im destroyed by his loss. I deactivate my twitter because i can handle the opinions about his loss. But for me was a special person, one who did one of the greatest videogames of all the times. I dont know if what happened was true or not. But even if he did it, no one deserve to die. Hope he is in a better place now. And a big hug for his family. rip.

Alec may have had issues, and he may have done horrible things in his life, but he didn't deserve to die. I believe everyone deserves a second chance no matter what's happened, including him.
