That's a pretty good swingarm set up for a Chinese bike. How do you like the bike overall?

Did you have to raise the fork to do this?
@ToModorNottoMod
@ToModorNottoMod 6 күн бұрын
Hey Ninjarider, for this specific setup to work the forks must be raised so you can clamp the clip ons on top of the triple tree. You could still use clip ons without having to lower the bike but you would need to use extensions to compensate for the fact that you would be placing the clip ons under the triple tree. Let me know if you have questions.

Has anyone ever had a rim that wouldn’t slide through the axle bolt 9f tire changer? I’m trying to remove tire tire off this little Yamaha virago 250 and assembly of this machine I grabbed the tire with rim attached and the freaking bolt is too wide? Suggestions??? I heard I can use a 5 gallon empty bucket I may just end up doing just that- freaking hell!

Why the hell do you have to take the exhaust pipes off.. that's just bad engineering.
@ToModorNottoMod
@ToModorNottoMod 21 күн бұрын
You don’t have to remove them if you are only doing a routine normal oil change. These Ducatis have that extra oil screen that they recommend cleaning every 2 oil changes and it’s impossible to reach unless you remove the bottom section of the exhaust. I hear you, I would prefer not to have to remove it but is not bad. It is pretty easy!! Good day brother!

Yep is possible. That’s why I explained two things. 1st I did not want to cut. 2nd I chose to work with plenty of space. Thanks for the comment!

I am 5 6 and a half and i am on my tip toes on my 750. I just bought it and previous owner said he dropped the rear 2 inches. not the front. I ride only street. do u think if i drop the front 2 inches it will be ok? Also is it better with the clipons above the triple? because i am not comfortable right now hunched over. I cant avoid leaning all my weight onto the grips.
@ToModorNottoMod
@ToModorNottoMod Ай бұрын
Hey man, Not sure how many bike you have ridden but I once bought a bike like that, dropped in the rear but not in the front and wow it handled horribly. First I would try to dropped the front the same amount as the rear so you can get some of the handling back. I loved real low bikes but it all depends on what you use the for. If lowering the front is not something you are comfortable with, you could raise the rear and try a seat with leash padding, which will put you lower to the ground. Regarding the clip ons, that is the nature of a sports bike, all the weight is in the wrists. Wondering if maybe you are not comfortable because of the handling characteristics of the bikes with being lowered in the rear and not in the front. You could put clip ons on top it is possible. Depending on the bike that also represents so other challenges, maybe needing longer cables and pretty tall risers to position your clip ons if the clip ons clamps under the triple tree. I know it’s a lot of information but if I were you, I would start by addressing the geometry of the bike by having it equally front-rear. Email me if you have more questions.

I also made a similar modification! For the speed sensor, since it will now read 4 bolts instead of 6 per wheel rotation (so the indicated speed will be one-third lower), I got an additional control unit for a few euros that fits between the male connector of the sensor and the female connector of the motorcycle’s control unit, making the latter read the correct value.

Please ride the bike then do a follow up video and show how to make adjustments. I know the cam pulleys are adjudtable but an explanation video would be very usefull. I know some people loosen them when doing the belts. That would be great to cover aswell. Keep it up the 696 videos are very useful . Layshaft seal may be in your future i see. Another good video idea. I also haveto do mine so it would be very usefull😂
