To put 16 title deeds together in one block takes either a long time or it costs a fortune. That's why a farm of this magnitude sells for more that the average per hectare price.

You either buy a game farm for its asset value, or do a due diligence on its financial statements to determine its viability as a ‘Going concern’, when the asking price is excessively above ‘fair market value’ for its assets - for instance, when the asking price for a 70,000ha game farm is R590m, it would be prudent for a prospective buyer to undertake a financial DD … failing which, he will be sitting staring into the embers of a Hardekool fire somewhere in the bosveldt with Tjaka and listening to the hyenas laughing in the night at these ‘wolhaarstories’ …. suffice to say a fool is soon parted from his money
