I found a cheap copy of them covering "I've Been Loving You Too Long". I knew it'd be boring, considering Ike's propensity to do unimaginative covers (or straight rip offs) of current hits. When I spun the B-side (Crumbling) -, I knew I'd scored! Is that really Albert Collins playing lead? If so, he's playing Ike's style, on one of Ike's records. I hope he was actually playing rhythm

I'm Gonna See My Baby Tonight / FLIED EGG Music composede by M. Takanaka(at his 17years old) lyrics by Fujio Hasumi(C.Lyn) From the album "Dr. Siegel's Fried Egg Shooting Machine" (1972) by "Flied Egg" (Renamed from “Strawberry Path”) Released in April 1972 - Nippon Phonogram Co., Ltd. Produced by Masaharu Honjo & Shigeru Narumo All music and Arrangements by Flied Egg String arrangement: Masahiko Aoi : A3, B4 All lyrics: Fujio Hasumi(C.Lyn) Cover art: Tamio Kageyama "FLIED EGG" (1972) (Band renamed from "STRAWBERRY PATH" (1970-1971)) Shigeru Narumo, :Guitars, Keyboards Hiro Tsunoda, : Drums, Vocals Masayoshi Takanaka :Bass (later Sadistic Mika Band, Sadistcs, fusion guiter Solo) (Composer) A1 Dr. Siegel's Fried Egg Shooting Machine (S. Narumo) A2 Rolling Down The Broadway (S. Narumo) A3 I Love You (H. Tsunoda) A4 Burning Fever (S. Narumo) A5 Plastic Fantasy (M. Takanaka) B1 15 Seconds Of Schizophrenic Sabbath (S. Narumo) B2 I'm Gonna See My Baby Tonight (M. Takanaka) B3 Oke-Kus (S. Narumo) B4 Someday (H. Tsunoda) B5 Guide Me To The Quietness (S. Narumo) ・1st Album: "When The Raven Has Come To The Earth" (1971) as "Strawberry Path" ・2nd Album: "Dr. Siegel's Fried Egg Shooting Machine" (1972) ・Live album "Goodbye Flied Egg" (Last Live) (1972) ※disbanded in1972. * Masayoshi Takanaka, who joined on bass from this album, was only 17 years old at that time, and made his professional debut still in high school student. But Shigeru Narumo was there, so he joined as a bassist instead of a guitar player. Most surprising of all was the inclusion of two of his songs on this album. After broken up with Fried Egg in 1972, he joined Kazuhiko Kato's “Sadistic Mika Band” as a guitarist and has been active in Japan as a guitarist and composer for more than 50 years since then. The reason for this can already be glimpsed from this time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJKznoWvederaKc A5 Plastic Fantasy (M. Takanaka)

Use to have that album until my brother destroyed it while i was in the service. Use to listen to it before my father got home from work, he hated r-n-r, he loved jazz, country but rock was off the table. I didb't know that he was a classically trained violin player until after he passed away from ALS in 12/84. I do miss him.
