Hello from France, I just found out that Mr Atkinson had a télévision existense before impersonating Mr Bean. This is so odd and funny. Just as at beginning of all Mr Bean épisodes, i thought he just appeared out of nowhere . Never crossed my mind that he most likely had a career before Bean 😂

Back then they could make fun of TV programming and news that resonated with everybody, at least in Britain, because everybody, even the Royals, watched the TV. Today cable and free-to-air are widely abandoned. There is no common ground upon which to build this type of humour. Modern society, has been effectively split into an archipelago of countless isolated islands by free-to-choose social media and proliferation of streaming outlets.

@@zzzng nice. 16 years ago i was probably in 5th standard. For the next few years all we knew was Wikipedia and Facebook. You must be a real tech enthusiast ripping tapes and uploading in KZbin. Love to see more of rowan atkinson.
