Good game. Not one of David Goughs greatest games. It was the softest penalty ever awarded to Kerry. Justice was done with Cluxtons save. Only for Coopers silly red card we'd have won it handy enough. Kerry still couldnt beat us. We gave them many hard days and big beatings from 2011 up to today. Long may it continue

It was a good documentary but it should have been a two part or even a three part. There could have been another programme on his time managing Kildare and Laois. A great manager should have won more with kildare and Laois but they won sweet fxxx all before he was manager.

His achievements were remarkable. As a child, growing up in Dublin, Micko and his charges ruined a few days for me!! To this day I refer to the 1978 All Ireland Final as "five goals in the rain"..... that Mikey Sheehy lob over the absent Paddy Cullen haunted me for years. Looking back I can understand what a visionary Micko is. I was delighted when Kerry got the Adidas and Bendix money.

I was at this with my Dad. I'll never ever forget it. The goal blew the roof off Croke Park. But my favourite moment was Kevin Nolan's point at 64.40 - the yell when he scored that was unbelievable. Obviously Cluxton goes on and does the magic at the end. But that equaliser from Nolan was just astonishing. What a day. What a start to practically a decade of dominance. What a team ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

That was the first final I'd been to and, although I'd wished for a different result, it was a great game and a fabulous end to Dublin's 'drought'. I met with my friends (all Dubs) afterwards and had a great evening on the black stuff, though I got plenty of good natured stick wherever we went, resplendent as I was in my green and gold jersey!
