I’d rather use ledger lines over 8va. It’s easier
@ansonshull1515 Жыл бұрын
Many students don't often have to read that high and struggle to read that many ledger lines, it also makes it easier to play the high parts down an octave if desired. If this was written for advanced students it would be easiest read in Tenor clef but it is Witten to be playable by an average high school trombone section
@InfinityMage498 Жыл бұрын
Ok. I just said that because in my opinion tenor clef or 8va confuse me
@nobody2416 Жыл бұрын
We in my German surroundings also prefer ledger lines instead of learning another key or the 8va.

Thank you so much for posting this!! As a former Caprock high school student we call this our “Hype” song. But very happy that I will forever cherish my memories with this. I am a class of 2023 and will be Graduating this year and I am not ready for the real world 😅 . Again I say, thank you so much for posting this.

Me and my trombone section are playing this! Thanks for a really good transcription. The other trombones are 2-3 year, I'm a 4th year so I'm kinda helping them with it. I will be holding solo auditions sometime like next year, for our last concert. If they can't play the solo by then though I'm gonna have to play it. Again, thank you so much for this awesome transcription !!
@ansonshull15152 жыл бұрын
That's awesome! That's exactly why I wrote it, to be playable for students. I never got to play it in an ensemble as I didn't play much after high school and we didn't have enough capable players in highschool. I hope you guys have a blast!

I personally don't like this version. The start of the callout seems too slow and the rest of the vocals are not up to date.

@@ansonshull1515 Trombonists generally prefer ledger lines to 8va markings. Whether an 8va marking makes it easier to read just depends on who the intended audience is.
@ansonshull15152 жыл бұрын
@@trainzack yeah I know, but in this case the ledger lines get ridiculous and it gets to the point where it would probably be written in tenor clef to save the pain. But the intended audience is students, didn't want to complicate it but simplify instead.

Try 12/8 instead of 4/4. Tempo: Dotted Quarter = 130
@ansonshull15153 жыл бұрын
The whole idea of this score was to be easy to read and to be playable rather than exactly accurate, time and style will be felt if played correctly, feel free to use the score as a template for a 12/8 transposition!
