So Leonia and Fort Lee is the same correct? and if so what is the difference?
@TeresaLovesNJ
@TeresaLovesNJ Жыл бұрын
Leonia and Ft Lee are the not the same... no two towns are exactly the same. The obvious difference is population... Ft Lee is a much bigger town with close to 39,000 residents while Leonia has about 9,000 residents.

I have zero interest in buy a home in NJ. I’m only passing thru NJ as a traveler but am interested in learning about the market as I am a real estate investor. I just want to call out, the content you put out is 1000% more informative, interesting than any real estate content that’s out there. It has a bit of everything: history, regulations, financial planning. Keep doing this.

If you're not an obscenely wealthy "progressive" you're not welcome in Alpine. Luckily,no recent "immigrants" have been dropped off in Alpine as was the case in Alpine's "sister city",Martha's Vineyard, not long ago.
@TeresaLovesNJ
@TeresaLovesNJ Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your opinion, however, census information does not support that viewpoint. Secondly, Martha's Vineyard's year round population is ~23,000 while Alpine's year round population is ~1,760 and Martha's Vineyard is a vacation destination while Alpine is not, therefore they are not comparable nor sister cities.

Here is a bit of Tenafly history that not too many people are aware of. At one point, for many years, the 'father of the electronics industry' in South Korea lived in Tenafly, up near the JCC and St. John The Theologian Greek Orthodox Church. He was instrumental in getting 'Goldstar Electronics' going, with HQ in Englewood Cliffs. Later on, the company morphed into LG Electronics! I would imagine his name is well known in South Korea. I won't name any names.

Tenafly was 'Camelot' back in the day! I'm 61 now, but grew up in Tenafly in the 60's and 70's. What a great experience it was, especially before all the 'McMansions' were built. It was more inclusive back then (rather than exclusive), and now, it seems the town has 'lost it's soul' in so many ways. But my parents did well - purchasing their home back in 1967 for around $40K, and selling it a few years ago for $1.4 million!

Thanks for sharing! I'm curious if most NJ beaches allow people to swim in the ocean and enjoy the waves? Does it vary from beach to beach? I'd like to visit an NJ beach that does allow light swimming this summer without lifeguards interfering.
@TeresaLovesNJ

Thanks for watching! When lifeguards are on duty during the summer season, they want swimmers to stay within their flags. I believe it's not illegal to swim without lifeguards off hours, but it is not recommended.

I remember my parents taking me up Ocean Ave and looking at Manhattans skyline for a dime. Our family ate in the Highland often. The Hofbrahouse was an awesome place not just to eat but the walls spoke to me. I grew up on the beaches of Sandy Hook. I remember exploring the old gun terrets and yes there was/is a nude beach. Several Go Go dancers really made up the majority. This was pre tanning beds then. So I went with a few dancers from there who knew a shortcut. I did get burned if you know what I mean. They already had there base coat lol Sandy Hook was just a fun place and the North Beach and the Seagulls Nest were filled with beach goers who were already inebriated. The 80s we'd pop open my IROC and tap a get and blast tunes. The rangers never bothered us. They never rebuilt it after Sandy but i hadn't been there since the early 90s.

Credit score? What a scam in itself! So what they are basically saying is "Now that WE control the food you eat, we control how you live, and who has a roof over their heads. We also create the laws to clean the scum off the streets by calling the 'homeless' vagrants!" I've gone through my entire life not giving a single care to my "credit score". When I pay something off, it's not because I care about some score I do not even have easy access to, but because it's the right thing to do. Corporations can go and jump in a lake for all I care, it's just sad how they control us through Property Management companies. There are more CROOKS that wear suits and ties working in office buildings than can be found out on the streets at any given time of day.
