Hearing person here! I'm only 16 and started teaching myself signs at 12 in 2020. I only got better after practicing and using signs with my friend last year in school, but I always feel so bad at it when I see how native signers use ask. Like, the grammar structure and how classifiers can replace the Need of signing everything. Instead, y'all literally paint a picture for us to communicate and it's so sick. I love it and I can't wait till I get on this level of ASL. My teacher says I know more than our students in class, and recommends I go to an event. Pray for me🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I get scared of fast finger spelling (AKA my weakness🫠).

Yes , history teacher should teach history as well as the struggles of minority groups throughout time including gays. But schools should not indoctrinate students.

I love this! I lived in Arizona and learned a sign for Muslim (people) and now I wonder if it could be seen as offensive.

I have had every variety of interpreter. I like when the interpreter is involved tho. I had job training for a hospital and orientation was a week long. The interpreters were amazing. There was a small issue regarding a part of training and they said No, this is what happened, this is why they (me) struggled because the interpreting part wasn't accommodated well and later they (interpreters) clarified when HR tried to say I just wasn't able to understand the material. And we chatted on breaks and everything. One of them has like 3 bags. Most of them love asking all kinds of questions. This video is great. I do understand the humor. The quirks can go too far. The only interpreter I ever "fired" was for a Spanish class and he made some very unfortunate comments to me about his opinion of me (or anyone in the US) learning Spanish. I love the interpreters though! Even the odd ones!

Is "no" really that complicated in Pakistani Sign Language, or did he show multiple options? I super love coffee though (grind-grind-eye-open). Computer is waaaaay better than ASL too.

He did multiple I believe. You can see him tap the index finger on his left hand before doing the first sign and then tapping the middle finger to show the second sign.

Very fascinating... some of the Pakistani signs are quite intuitive to me as an Indian hearing person, which I didn't expect. I recognised "please" and "money" since even we hearing ppl use these often.
