My fav comment about this short and Mike Judges writing in general, is he loves to highlight the lack of mutual understanding, the fact both characters don't really understand eachother, that a lot of his comedy relies on two people or groups of people trying to communicate and failing to understand the intention of what one another are saying, their frame of reference and needs in life, what they find more important and take primacy for is so completely different for each individual, the satire and comedy of his shows/writing tend to hang heavily on the fact they won't understand eachother, they'll probably never understand eachother, and individual truth and happiness is for everyone else to find for themselves and not something someone can just instill onto another individual no matter how hard they try. And the humor that derives from them trying so hard, like a parent and a child trying to agree on what good music is, it's just so subjective that both are probably right, and both are also probably wrong. JUST DON'T FORCE THAT PLAYLIST ONTO YOUR CHILDREN! YOU PROBABLY VAPE TOO!! That judgmental assumption is my fav.
