i was legit tweaking on this level when i tried to flawless sss rank it but i just couldnt get flawless. UNTIL i noticed that the last guy never died and thats why i never got flawless (im dumb asf)

It's a trick where you pull in the grappling hook as you jump off the slope, it is an inconsistent trick but it will give you the height.

Once you do enough kick jumps it should be easier. If not try using this route kzbin.info/www/bejne/a36bgqSQfcafbZo&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.speedrun.com%2F it may be easier. mostly its just spending the time continuing to do it until I get a good launch. They are both very inconsistent so it takes a while to get a run with two good launches in them.

how do u do that barrel thing? where u kick the barrel and u jump super high i tried it and it doesnt work . pls explain

a lot of it comes down to muscle memory. I find it best to look straight down, and when you are over the barrel kick then jump right afterwards. It's a bit hard to get but try it a few times and you should be able to do it.

I'd be interested in seeing a game time speedrun as well where the goal is to minimize the sum of the times shown for the levels in the game the strategies would be quite interesting
