Smth about this scene flowed not as dramatically/scarily as it did on the show. The slow pause while Charolette opens her mouth in the original really sets the dreading tone in, meanwhile it just sweeps past that tension entirely with this version

Not the first to point it out, but have to comment anyway. If I had a nickel for every anime where a girl who is a walking Der Freischütz reference tasked with lulling others into becoming magical abominations like herself dies in the maw of someone who, like her, traded their soul for superpowers, but, unlike her, regretted it, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice Edit: oh, and bonus points for that someone being infamous for receiving a "lethal" wound, collapsing, and then springing at the opponent (much to their shock), revealing a "true form" that looks like a black toothy shape (or a few of those) extending from what was a vaguely human-like figure just a few moments ago

So my question is this.. why did none of Mami’s attacks work? If Homura’s magic is “time” & she does rely on artillery why didn’t Mami’s gun magic work? Honestly I’d love to argue that Mami is the strongest magic girl under Op Madoka & Demon Girl Homura. On base level I’d say Mami is number one ☝🏼 SO WHY DIDNT HER ATTACKS WORK???!!

I think someone pointed this out someone in the comments or on another platform that Mami got careless when she actually made friends, she didn't think to take a precaution that Charlotte would actually attack her which makes her death really sad. And think about it: Mami threw two at the time non magical girls into a witch domain. If Homura wasn't there, Madoka and Sayaka would have died. Sucks Mami never got a happy ending.

I wouldn't say it's shock. More of the concern for Madoka's safety. There was no one to protect Madoka so that's why she was concerned.

この時初めてみんなが想像してたであろう魔法少女系の作品と違うことを知り作品への見方が180度変わったよねw くそ強いと思ったマミさんがあっけなく負けてその後ほむらが余裕で倒したから当時はそんな強くなかったんかって思ったけど、後々メンタル次第でブレることや純粋な実力は全キャラの中で最強だったりと知りその度にマミさん…ってなったわ笑 叛逆はほんとかっこよすぎた
