Loved her "Firebird" short program, it will always remain one of my favorites. She was always wonderful to watch, well groomed and great costumes. Also she is from Ohio where I'm from, which makes you root for someone even more. Nice interview here! ❤

Check it out by reducing the video speed. He's clearly 3/4 of a rotation pre-rotated on the takeoff and at least 1/4 under-rotated on the landing. He's only doing 3.5 rotations OFF the ice. In essence, he's only doing a triple Axel, not a quad Axel.

This is his very first attempt, he may have improved it since. Malinin and his team commented on the news, it must be good enough for them.

Yes, intresting interview. From wath i saw this season I'll search for videorecord from Nebelhorn of the rythm dance for my videoarchiv because I think there was the best operator/director work and the best peformance of Allison-Saulius.

What a great interview! I've really switched on to this team over the past 3 seasons... and this interview highlighted the things that, I think, so many of their growing fanbase respond to in their skating: consistently 'bringing something different' every season, original and interesting music choices, and their ability to tell a story through dance and movement. On top of this, great to hear from two young people who clearly think deeply about their art, and have a real respect for each other and what they each bring to the partnership. I can't wait to see what they come up with for next season!

I don't know much about the practical side of skating, I wonder if they are or consider wearing helmets. I seem to remember a skater, Paul Binnebose, who fell and had quite a trauma, and there was a lot of talk about helmets back then.

The fact that she is aware her fans can experience stress along with her when she is skating a program reveals that she is a performer at heart. She wants to deliver programs in which her audience can get lost in the joy of skating. I respect the hell out of that attentiveness to the audience. Other skaters would be well-served to develop that.

The 1st time I saw a +GOE 3A from Amber was at US Nationals this year. It scored her over 10 points and she took the title! One of the highlights of season for me. I am huge fan of her skating style and have always felt she is very down to earth. Gutted I couldn't watch Skate Americia because of where I live.
@My-hat4 ай бұрын
Amber is a delight and a phenomenal skater. So strong and charismatic. I’ve heard someone say she trains very hard but doesn’t do enough full run throughs? That regardless of mistakes etc you keep going like it’s a competition. I don’t know if this is not common training anymore. This is more for the coach to enforce I assume! Who know if this would help? I’m sure they’ve tried everything though.
