Hey guys good on you for getting out with your sacks, hiking and camping. I always try and limit the packaging for food. If it's multi day my main meal is in the same bag and I dig out the portions. Any Cadair Idris a mighty mountain. I'm sure you got back down buzzing. Just subbed on account of the good vibes. All the best. Mark

So awesome that you guys had a great time walking around Somerset. I want to mention one thing about private/public paths. Yes, some landowners share the land here with hikers, but mostly through the law and business only. And if you had a great experience crossing private land I bet the path itself was “public” and managed by another organization. I would not agree that England is better in terms of permissions than Lithuania (I’m talking only about England, not the whole UK here). So I see everything opposite. First I would say, that imperialistic thinking has its legacy everywhere. Did you hear the story about the Kinder Scout Trespass event and how serious the problem of hiking was almost a century ago (some of the hikers were jailed for weeks)? There are only a few examples where the land was given back to the people of England. In Lithuania, we do have permission to enter almost any lake (which belongs to the public domain) and the fence “private land” is mostly illegal. Whereas in England is the opposite story. There is almost no public land. Even “public paths” belong to one or another organization (like “National trust”) which is not a public domain, but private landowner. I remember walking to the Fountains Abbey one year ago and I was not allowed to enter without booking in advance because I was not a member of the National Trust. Another thing, for example, there is no wild camping allowed in England, any land with lakes and woodlands belonged to someone centuries ago and still belongs to the same families. Wildcamping in the UK is illegal and even if it is “tolerated”, nobody is certain how long it will last. In Lithuania we can still find places where to wild camp without any fear to be expelled… yet :))). Yes, we do have illegal fences and sometimes legal ones but nobody is trying to catch you with thermo-camera drones and quadricycles like here in Peak District for example. It is sad, and perhaps there’s no easy way in England for that to change in the nearest future. First the mentality of landowners and second because of us hikers. It was sad to walk around Gordale Scar this weekend and see how much trash was left. Next time I will take a bucket with me to take some trash down the valley. A lot of landowners are trying to raise issues by showing to the media what we leave in their land and how irresponsible we are with fire. So I see, that the problem of wanting to go outdoors through any land or camping wild, or even wanting to share the property with the public will still remain. My message perhaps is too long here, because your video is not about it. But I just wanted to show you another side which exists along with our great experiences in nature. By the way great video as always, cheers!

Smagu girdeti, kad ir lietuvaiciai uzsidega kuprineti-vaikstineti. Sis hobis mano sirdyje jau beveik desimtmetis.

Jums gero laiko! Gal kada kur susidursime ir stovės šalia palapinės, pasidalinsim įspūdžias. 😌 Ačiū labai už komentarą! 🥰

@@hikesimpleEžerų nacionalinis parkas tikrai pats gražiausias nacionalinis parkas Anglijoje - be jokių kalbų. Vaizdai, ežerų grožis atima žadą ten besiilsint. Tikiuosi laikas praleistas šalia užliūliuojančių ežerų bus vertas visų nukaktų kilometrų. O, kad palapinės stovės kadanors greta aš tuo visai neabejoju. Likimas dažnai pasiūlo nuotykių jų beieškantiems, prieš daugiau nei metus teko sutikti Paul Messner KZbin “žvaigždę” kalnų aukštybėse ir pasišnekučiuoti pasistačius palapines greta viena kitos. Tad visai nenustebsiu, jei mano senute Phoxx 1 palapinė atsiguls prie KZbin “hike simple” žvaigždučių Phoxx 2 palapinės 😃. Geros dienos!
