The shot at 3:40 of sunrise over the monolith, with the slender crescent of the Earth above the slab and he sun, is wondrous, and deservedly iconic. That makes you wonder why, in the establishing shots at the beginning of this scene (from the start of this video until 1:12), showing the broad panorama of this part of the lunar surface, we’re shown that from that point on the moon, they were seeing not a mere slender crescent of the earth’s surface illuminated in sunlight, but over half of the side visible from Tycho crater. It’s not a fatal flaw that ruins the movie, or anything like that, but it reflects curious inattention to an obvious detail. It’s just surprising that no one involved in making the film was alert to the point, that the Earth would not have gone from gibbous phase to crescent phase, in the few minutes it took this group to walk down from the surface level, to the excavated monolith.

That last shot doesn't make sense because we just saw the Earth on the horizon, not straight up in the sky. After this story, one thinks that the Star Child is going to come back and lead humanity on an advanced state of evolution. But he doesn't. Funny that in _2010: The Year We Make Contact_ (though we didn't, really), they still thought in 1984 that the Cold War would continue through 2010.

What’s hilarious is that Jimmy brings up a point in better call Saul at the final season that Jimmy could’ve found a way to sue grey matter for not having composited Walter due to his formula making them billions. Granted Walter would’ve never hired jimmy for it, and Walter most likely signed a contract where he’d get no money from the company in general, but knowing Jimmy would’ve found a way and Walter would’ve gotten his share without having anyone killed.

If I’m Marty McFly, I rather call myself as General Dar-Zod, the portmanteau name of Dar-Benn (Marvel) & General Zod (DC). The Kree military leader from the Planet Hala. The Kree leader will be called the Supreme Intelligence/Supremor.
