Trains can still sound the horn in the quiet zone if the flashing X is blinking for safety the wayside horns don’t live save. Train horns save lives.

I’ve never seen a crossing where the train honks with the wayside horns. Also this is the best sounding wayside horn I’ve ever heard (because it’s quiet)

Air intake seems a bit slow to shut off lol, thats why it has that progressive decrease in the horn because of the air pressure dropping slower.
