Shame , you can hear the sadness in his voice! How incredibly brave to sing this song in 1984! God bless bronski beat❤ wasn't the norm or cool back then, was it!? This man is a hero. Respect!

That IS the exact album that's on that turn table. Asia, I remember this. Hell, the turntable looks like my old Techniques.

How do you get studio quality recording when recording a song on a turntable? I tried this but the sound is like recording in a room. What equipment is used to achieve this? I'm a beginner in this so any advice will help. Please no rude comments.

This song came on over the airwaves when I was a youngster riding the school bus. My bus driver hooked us up with music every morning. He rigged up the musical sounds coming from a portable radio. What sweet memories! Thanks Pastor Johnson R.I.P.

much like the vastly underapreciated classic noir Sci fi novel that it references in its first line, this song is a lyrical and wholy creative masterpiece of the English language that paints a vivid, living image in the listeners mind of pool halls filled with cigarette smoke and cool characters, like the musical equivalent of a Ralph bakshi picture. it resonates with the dark side in all of us, making us simultaneously ponder our mortality and rejoice in our blessings. it sounds great, envokes emotions and introspection alike and is great to move to, making it the artistic equivalent to Crack for all of the five senses.
