How are the string pairs tuned ? And are string pairs in unison or octaved ?

Standard tuning, 6th-3rd in octaves and 2nd/1st unison. (I left a single string for the first).

I'm kinda surprised that this is the only video on KZbin I can find with a 12 string classical nylon guitar, I would have thought something like that was somewhat more common. Where is this guitar from?

You can always add the additional high e string if you want it to have 12 strings as usual. You could also use a Pick. Magma should make nylon 12 string guitar strings

Interesting sound but also very interesting what you are playing. It reminds of the music of Ralph Towner. If I see correctly you have unison stringd ( 6 pairs of identical strings)...have you tried octavated strings as in 12 steel strings guitars ?
