I actually meant to say T.A.T.U not The Veronicas got em mixed up my bad lolol
@Grington3009 күн бұрын
Great song. Good reaction and no, although it may sound similar to Tatu's 'All the things she said' (was the Veronicas a cover?) there is absolutely nothing to say this references that song. This, I think, is likely to do with BABYMETAL's own story and having to change, then dealing with the sort of criticisms they were receiving, believing in and and wanting everyone else to believe in what they were doing.

I can help debunk the Tatu song comparison with some extra info. If both the song's music and lyrics had been written by Yuyoyuppe, instead of just the music, you could suspect he may have been influenced by that song, though i'm not sure why he would be particularily aware or influenced by that song. But in this case the lyrics were written by someone else, 'Peri-metal'. I'm fairly certain the lyrics would have been written after the music was created. It's not impossible the Tatu song could have influenced Peri-metal (whoever her or she is) when writing the lyrics, but it wasn't the intention from Yuyoyuppe, as the chords are different. It's probably a coincidence.

I agree and would also like to point out that when they do an homage to another band they make it very obvious that is what they are doing such as to Metallica in Babymetal Death they use the beat from Metallica's One unchanged and it is well known the connection they have with Metallica. I only pushed back at this to hopefully avoid the situation happening again where in response to the question 'What do you do to prepare for a tour' Su replied that she would run on a treadmill, and some fan took that to mean she practised her vocals while running on a treadmill, it got repeated a couple of times and before you knew it half the fan base took that to be an actual fact. It is fine to give an opinion but if it is not backed up with any facts then it should be made clear that it is only an opinion, especially if the implication of that opinion, which I am sure is not intended, is that they somehow plagiarised from another group. Babymetal already have enough negative things said about them without adding that as well
@Ryujin1709 күн бұрын
@@chrisharris1522 I believed the treadmill rumour lol. I even once parroted that Koba funded Babymetal himself in the early days, which has no evidence. It's based on Amuse being very miserly in pre-headbanger days and the girls having to make their own stage costumes and Koba's wife doing their hair (which is actually true). It's not impossible that Koba could have personally funded them, but if there's no evidence, it's a myth and shouldn't be repeated. I have been more careful to check my facts since then and only stray into non-factual territory if I'm speculating about the future or trying to argue a more reasonable or realistic reason for something, rather than reading about conspiracy. I'm sure I read in an interview that Su has a type of synesthesia and sees songs as colours, but I couldn't be sure if I read it or heard it repeated, and can't back it up, so I have never repeated it.

It is a stupid comparison, it is only five words from two completely different songs and not even the same five words, All the things she said, running through my head vs All the things you said, all the things I know

I always heard that part of the song compared to a group called Tatu. I had never heard of either group before this song so I have no idea. It's just what I have been hearing. For me, Believing is a rare song that sound better in studio then live. I do have to admit however, that this time the live hit much better than usual.
@ksbrst20107 күн бұрын
Well, accordong to Moa Believing is mainly a collaboration of the old and New Babymetal. This are their old, higher notes inermixed with their current, adult voices. This would indicate that it was an older song that they never completed. Which is often used as a Reference to the After Yui era. They have no Tradition to reference aktualisiert occurencesvin their songs but it is possible. At that stage both Su and Moa grew up and in fact grew on each other. Su was used to be the leader but she recognized thatvMoa was in factveven closer to Yui and was in fact trying to integrate both parts in her performance. She recognized that the help did not have to come from the side but Moa would do something to help. Moa was quite astonished by herself and this helped her to find her confidence. They knew they had no magic Wand but only their talent. Ir mightbbevthatvtherevwere some elements of that time, but Moa made it clear itbwas them.

Good one, thanks! "Time Wave" seems to delve into themes of time, change, and self-transformation. The lyrics suggest that time is a force that moves relentlessly forward, symbolizing both the challenges and opportunities that come with change. They use the metaphor of a "wave" to represent the unstoppable flow of time, emphasizing how each individual is part of something much larger and cannot control every aspect of their journey. This wave can bring both destruction and renewal, encouraging us to face the future bravely. The Möbius strip could symbolize the cyclical, non-linear nature of time, as an endless loop that returns to the same place but with a twist. This strip, with only one continuous side and one edge, defies traditional geometry, much like how time can feel continuous yet filled with twists and turns. Essentially, "Time Wave" seems to be about embracing life’s inevitable transformations, finding strength within oneself to ride the wave of time, and shaping one's path amid the flux. 🤘🦊
