That gearbox would drive me nuts. Can't get over 3000rpm easily. My tiny 1.9 TDI uses the whole rev range, when I want, because of the awesome 6 speed DSG. I just gotta be careful with acceleration and torque so I don't snap an axle. She's quick for a small engine. For normal driving you can change gears as low as 1800rpm. For fun driving, once in 3rd, I'll rev right out. I wish they still made PD engines, but with bigger injectors, bi-turbo, better MAP sensor, and no emissions parts.

The plug isnt really a performance mod on its own. Once you run more fuel you have to replace it since the stock relief valve will "pop" with the added fuel and send it all back to the tank. Or a cheap fix for low fuel rail pressure codes. Suprised it even changed the rpms what it did.

@@6.7DeLaCruz I just sold it but I had an lb7 with internals(pistons) block rods the whole 9 done big turbo injectors and a stage 2 trans your dually wouldn’t stand a chance against my single cab

Ended up like 3rd I think and it’s been great down here, it gets a little chilly here and there but I’m able to ride all the time if I want. Little man’s starting to really get into so hoping we ride more and more as the weather gets warmer🤙

Do a down pipe and it won’t have that hissing sound when you rip on it, the stock down pipe makes it sound wack

So, what's the fuel rail plug? And how come the rpms start right at 3k?

Before the rpm would max at 2800 or 2900 now it'll peak at 3100 so isn't a huge difference, I just wanted to try it.. its a small plug that replaces your fuel pressure release valve. Look up calibrated diesel video on it

Yes i have the notoriously terrible auto trans. Its been tuned but that's it. After it blows i wanna do a manual swap... I use to own a 12 that was 6speed and it didn't feel restricted like this one both had the same amount of performance "upgrades". In my opinion the plug isn't worth the hype i don't notice any big spike in power.. it revs a bit smoother but thats all
