Yes i have the Mavik 3.. yah I’m seeing that the active track is terrible.. it follows me just fine in person but when I try to track the truck it just won’t work.. I’ll have to check out that skidio for sure. Thanks 🙏 for the info bud 🤙

@@McHeavyHaul I'm in no way trying to push the brand. But supposedly they are a US company, I'm sure just assembled here. I think the Skydio 1 was a flop and they were supposed to have really improved on the second one. I actually put a deposit down on the second batch, first one being already sold out but not shipped yet. I backed out and got my deposit back because the first batch hadn't been in anyone's hands long enough to get a good enough review for my comfort so I bought the 2 pro.

@@McHeavyHaul I honestly haven't had the nerve to use the active track anywhere I couldn't just stop and take back control myself. I will share my worst horror story with my original Mavic. I do have the smart controller for my 2 pro, but with first one I usually just used my phone because I didn't wanna waste a lot of time and that was one less thing I had to dig out or keep charged. So I was at a quarry picking up a excavator and it was one of those after hour deals where no one was there but I had a key so I thought I'd let it track me going back out to the gate. It was doing good but prior to me getting to quarry I had called the guy on the drop for the load to confirm where I needed to drop excavator but he didn't answer. As I was almost to the gate he called me back and it caused my phone to lock up. I stopped and jumped out. Drone kept going on path it was on and I couldn't cancel active track cause my phone was locked up. I could barely override it with my controls on remote meaning it was fighting to stay at that altitude and forward but I finally got it within reach and grabbed it from bottom. I could barely hold it. Couldn't get it to power off Wich was nerve wracking enough trying to push button in middle of all props going full out. Some how I managed the get my fingers on the battery release and get it out without losing my fingers.

Holy cow yah that would definitely be nerve racking bud😅
