Astonishing! A left hand ring finger palm is exposed at 2:22 but nobody would see it in a live setting.

This video is so well presented Giacomo I have saved it for future reference as coin magic is something I will be looking to add to my repertoire in the near future. As mentioned by others the use of transparent cards to explain your principles is fantastic, you have a new subscriber and a new student.

Giacomo, Amazing! You are very good and smooth with the handling and hands postures, it almost looks flat. Weel done! Question: What is the diameter of the coins you use?
@giacomobertinimagic
@giacomobertinimagic 10 ай бұрын
Thank you, @ecastag . Here I used half silver dollars, so the diameter is 30.6 mm in diameter (/ 1.2 inches)
@ecastag
@ecastag 10 ай бұрын
@@giacomobertinimagic Thank you Giacomo. Is it possible to palm 24 mm diameter coins and achieve that position with the hands where they look flat and do it with ease or does it become much more difficult? Is it possible to apply a product to the coins to prevent them from slipping? I know it depends on the hand but I would like to know your personal experience. Thank you very much!
@giacomobertinimagic
@giacomobertinimagic 10 ай бұрын
@@ecastag Yes of course, it is possible. Your question is very specific and would require a very long and detailed answer that I don't feel like giving here, also because the answer is customizable, because obviously it also depends on the size of the hands. If you want you can contact me privately and I will tell you how I can answer that question. However, I don't recommend that you apply any product to coins, not even to prevent slipping, it wouldn't work. Anyway, I am preparing a new book where I will also talk about this topic, so you can understand everything better.

@@giacomobertinimagic Oh Giacomo! Very kind of you for giving so detailed answer. I'm entering little by little in the coin magic world because I started to do first only card magic about a year ago and it's a lot to handle but I do some matrix also, and giving some steps in coin palming but very slow because if I get into all of the different genres I will turn crazy and ended with no mastering any of those. Very kind of you again, thank you.

I thank you for mentioning my name. You make my day. However, you do not understand the Matrix philosophy. You only got 25 % of the method. You are doing excellent work but you are falling far short. Most improvements detract from the power that is in the correct method of performance. I could not watch the entire video because you butcher the routine so badly. You simply have no understanding of what a spectator sees. Clearly you are a leading magician in the world of magic. And why do you need to be one of the hundreds of magicians exposing Matrix on KZbin. Do you have any idea how I feel about hundreds of people showing MY TRICK TO THE PUBLIC!!!!!
@The9thChord
@The9thChord 7 ай бұрын
Most people perform Matrix without uniformity of action, time misdirection, or concept of steals and puts. Don't feel too bad Mr. Schneider. Have you seen the versions coming out of Asia now? It's clear they stuck with the original Matrix philosophy. Can't say the same for Europe and America!😂

Thanks a lot for sharing this. I've been practicing with this technique for a few months now and really like it (much easier than the 'traditional' way of doing classic palm for me), but I was wondering if it's possible to do a muscle pass from this position?
@giacomobertinimagic
@giacomobertinimagic Жыл бұрын
Very good question: it's actually more difficult, but the muscle-pass position is actually not the exact position of the classic palm. In fact, in the position of the muscle pass you cannot perform a good malini's subtlety. Let me explain: the position of the muscle-pass is used to be able to quickly send out a coin that is in classic-palm. But to be able to do this you have to position a coin in a different way and this causes many problems in my opinion, because in reality the position of the classic palm must be done in order not to drop the coin. If you use the muscle pas position first of all you have a better chance of losing the coin, plus the hand is not a natural position. However, there are some magicians who use my method and who manage to perform a good muscle pass. The advantage of my method is that it is impossible to lose a coin that is in classic palm. I personally prefer not to use the muscle pass, but if you write to me privately I can give you other tips for using both methods. Maybe later I'll do some subscription tutorials for this topic and other similar topics.

@@giacomobertinimagic Wow, thank you so much for the detailed response! I'm still quite new to coin magic so don't want to trouble you any more now - you've already more than answered my question, and I may instead contact you about a lesson if I want to explore this further when I'm a bit more advanced. Really appreciate you taking the time to provide your insight, and thanks again for the great videos. (BTW your book is next on my want-to-buy list and I hope to pick up a copy in the next few months.)
