I think you guys might be missing whats going on with the fire offering of the two ✌️… Yes it states that God commanded them NOT… but this was said not to highlight a bad thing in they’re offering or a lack in it thereof …. Its quite the opposite!! Why…? Because of Moses’s words… “He sanctifies those closest to him”… Who else is sanctified …? Enoch !! Thus God took him. When we say “we’re sanctified by the blood of Christ” .. the thing that is sanctifying us is something that is in proper alignment with Gods perfect nature….. and Jesus’s blood would be… But the bible shows thats it possible to be sanctified by means of your own actions and orientation towards God … like Enoch was. (EXTREMELY RARE) But with this knowledge in mind! These two sons who offered theyre “different” fire were HONORED by God and accepted… NOT REJECTED and thus the fire consumed them because they’re different fire offering was a demonstration of them striving to give God they’re very best in everything… even if its just an offering of fire… and God taking them is evidence of they’re entire life’s goodness or right orientation towards God , the fire offering was what “tip the scales” in a sense!! But yes in the sight of someone who doesn’t understand the reality of what just happened they would just and only consider a horrible death had just taken place, but thats not what happened and thats why Moses said those words of affirmation to they’re father that what his sons did was Actually good and SO GOOD that they actually achieved basically the standard that Enoch did soooooo🫤🤷🏻‍♂️ God took’em!! This also makes clear that being truly reconciled with God and therefore sanctified and also still remain living in a flesh body is only possible in Christ Jesus. Its quite the blessing.

The message to the Israelites where Moses is having his hands held up so that they can win a war is: You are being miraculously aided wile the person you ThINK is “ The man😎” is actually just completely weak and unable to achieve the task at hand…… The point is, God is “saying “ take your eyes off this man ( Moses) and put them on Me…

The discussion of the Covenant reminds me of the 6th (I think) Exodus episode where they discussed the fact that Moses was not allowed into the promised land. There was talk of Moses' initially being the avatar of God, channeling God's power through the rod that Moses carried, and even that Moses had complained 'why are you (some petitioners) coming to me, when your question is for the Lord'. That is, he realized that he was not the source of the power. There was even talk of Joshua's battles in which the Jews won only so long as Moses held his hands, and the rod, high, but lost when Moses tired and lowered the rod, so that he needed help to channel the power as a reminder that it wasn't him, but God that did this. But eventually when Moses said something to the effect that "I have done ...(whatever)", apparently succumbing to his own press and equating himself to the power. "Power corrupts." At that point God said: "Sorry Bubba, you have become corrupt and this is an uncleanness that cannot be purified by washing, so no promised land for you." The point to this preface is that maybe the historical troubles of the Jews, including things like various corrupt kings, the destruction of the Temple, the Captivity, the diaspora which included worldwide antisemitism and various plagues, and the Nazis are all periodic reminders to keep the covenant. Thus Prager's story about the trial of God in Auschwitz, and the rabbi's continuation of their reverence despite the guilty verdict, may be what caused the Nazi's to be defeated. The rabbis re-raised the rod, metaphorically at least. Now there are the Islamists and the Progressives to remind them, and wayward Christians, again, lest he once again would "...visit the iniquities of the fathers unto the children to the third and fourth generations", which explains the periodicity of the calamities.

Dennis irritates me with his foolish understanding of scripture, most of the panel do not stand up to him disagreeing with most of his objections. We are all too proud, aren't we as a species to humble ourselves and allow God to speak to us through His word. There are so many verses that support the idea that Moses sinned when killing the Egyptian soldier, the text itself shows there was murder, and deciet in his heart. It's very simple. Christ himself could have killed all the Roman soldiers and definitely could have came down from the cross, but that's not God's calling for us. Turn the other cheek, forgive, sacrifice, suffer, thou shall not kill, live by the sword die by the sword, I would have disagreed with Dennis to his face just as sternly he is "checking" the rest of the panel. Look at and let's reference Jesus and how he dealt with the Jewish Pharisees.. God knows best. Let's follow His way. Jesus is the way. The slaves life was not on the line, as awful as it was for that slave to get assaulted , it doesn't justify the murder of the soldier. Period. The slave was being whipped, not murdered.

Y’know I think it’s very true. I think it was a sin and Christ’s doing is the proper interpretation. However, I would like to mention, I don’t think Dennis was being “foolish.” He is well educated in Jewish law and tradition, and his objections and statements are built upon that interpretation of the scriptures. I think it denigrates his powerful contribution in this discussion, and he makes some excellent points and raises some good questions, even if he does not believe in the fulfillment of the law with the New Testament.

Well, I'd reinforce the statement that the *only* sacrifice that's ever going to be accepted truthfully is forfeture of one's immoral habits- immediately and with no possible return thereto; anything else is either perversely suicidal and/or simply wasteful. Cain is the case of a man who let corporate envy get so far beyond him that he committed the *murder* of his coworker: well, at *Least* what that'll get you *today* is fired, if not arrested on the way out the door for the final time regarding the workplace! He was truthfully a duped dope who to get ahead in the family colonial job he determined to kill his rival for their Boss's praise: dumbest thing he could possibly do, if he wanted to stay even remotely employed to begin with. Does kind of make you wonder what kind of woman had become his bride, though; and that doesn't behoove much to her personality and/or virtues: even odds up; she was herself kind of Abel's bully, given her choice of a husband for crying out loud!

...how does this collection of Bible scholars NOT know why words are italicized in the Bible??? The simple reason is this: the compilers of KJV & NKJV wanted readers to know every time the translators messed with the original manuscript in the tiniest manner, in order to be strictly faithful to the inspired Word. Therefore, every time they were forced to insert a word into the text (usually in order to make a sensible English sentence), they italicized every word that doesn't appear in the manuscript. You'll frequently see various forms of the verb "to be" italicized because Hebrew grammar doesn't require this verb in a sentence like "Isaiah is a prophet;" instead you would just see "Isaiah a prophet." -- so the Bible translators put IS in italics to let you know this word is foreign to the original text!

One thing Dr. Peterson got wrong, & the bishop failed to correct: one major difference b/w the spirit of Satan & the spirit of God is that where Satan possesses you, God instead LEADS you. That's a huge difference in how those 2 spirits aim to influence you. God does not FORCE you, or make your decisions for you, but instead seeks to nudge you in the right direction through education; while Satan & men influenced by him WILL seek to suborn your free will to their own purposes.

The story of the Exodus occurred in history however all of the details were deliberately reversed in the Holy Bible, in one of the first religious propaganda spin stories, in order to make the monotheists look like the victims and the Egyptians look like the aggressors. In reality, it was the monotheists who were the aggressors and the Egyptians were the victims. In the 13th dynasty of Egypt people known by modern historians as the Hyksos, AKA the “shepherd kings” or "Israelite pharaohs", conquered northern Egypt taking control of its throne for their own purposes. This foreign occupation lasted for about 300 years until a pharaoh descended of those original conquerors named Amenhetep the 4th tried to force monotheism on the Egyptian population; taking as his new name, one of several aliases, Akhenaten. For the native Egyptians, who had suffered the machinations of their foreign rulers, this was the last straw. Five Egyptian generals funded by the southern treasury of Egypt launched a military coup and exiled Amenhetep along with his Levitical priesthood. It was after his expulsion that, realizing he couldn’t work openly anymore, Amenhetep took his last alias - “Moses”; a name truncation derived from one of his relatives named Thutmoses. From that point, the propaganda of the Holy Bible was written.
