that's why I don't even try making italian cammo, IJA airforce cammo or blurry side spots of luftwaffe - unless you are airbrush fine arts meister, you'll end up with something pretty far from original. the only good alternative if available are cammo decals

Nice. That's the newer Hasegawa 1/32 tooling in a Limited Edition Otsu (08259/2022 release) with the right drop tank connections and cannon config etc. Love it. Building their venerable 1971 mould A6M5 Hei right now. Current pressing in grey plastic, for its age it's respectable, and for what I paid a superb paint mule which'll look the business when I'm finished. Doesn't compare with the newer version for accuracy and detail though. Love the Japanese pilot figurines in newer Hasegawa 1/32 kits. Have a couple of new tool Hasegawa Japanese 1/32 subjects to complete after this, but will get around to a newer tool 1/32 Zero after those.

The kit looks pretty nice.

Hellcat came out great. Panel lines are detailed and realistic looking.

I am in the late stages of a 1/48 version of the F4U1a and will quite likely push on to a 1/32 version at some stage, particularly in view of the detailing opportunities it presents.
