Hopefully after Covid it continues ameen 🤲🏼. May Allah reward you all for keeping the spirit of our ancesters alive ameen thumma ameen 🌺♥️⚔️

I really love the meaning of the raatibul haddaad, I just wish that when the Quran was read, it was read with proper tajweed instead of focusing on high tones

This tradition was born out of slavery. When the British and Dutch oppressors took slaves around the world the practice of Islam was forbidden. They began the recitation of the Quran in this style to hide their worship as the Duth and British slave masters thought they were simply singing songs.

As' salaamu-alaikum. Please do not post comments which are disrespectful to ratieb. I've grown up with ratieb, being a practice in our family for years. And it NEVER made me less of a Muslim. If you don't know where you come from, you'll never know where you're going to.... Instead make dua for those who kept our beautiful religion alive. Ameen. Ramadhan Mubarak to all insha-Allah 💕
@muammargadaffi76953 жыл бұрын
This is not our religion. Allah has perfect Islam and this was not a part of the perfection.
Assalamu'alaikum, Im from indonesia.. and im astonished on how our distant muslim brothers in South Africa do dhikr, and interestingly the dhikr is so similar with how Javanese people of Indonesia do dhikr: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZmbXpRvnbSJbM0 we are blood brothers Indonesia-Cape Malays 👍🏻

@@awabrahams1600 yes MashaAllah thats why congregational dhikr like this is still practiced here in Indonesia but the style is a bitt different: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZmbXpRvnbSJbM0 .. i see the connections in this kind of dhikr between Indonesia-Cape town

Mashaa ALLAH, very beautiful. There is one concern though: Can the leaders of this group please make an attempt to train this group to render the Quran Ayaats in this Thikr with TAJWEED, Surah Faatigah, Ikhlaas, Falaq, AnNaas and Ayaatul - Kurs. It is Waajib to recite the Quran with TAJWEED. Please watch the Thikr of Sheikh Ismail Londt to see how the Ayaats of the Quran must be recited in the Thikr. The rest of this Thikr gets an Excellent from me, well done, Algamdulillah.

There is a deep history related to why it is sung this way. It has to do with slaves hiding their recitation of Quran from their slave masters by disguising it as song.
