Elvis has got to be the most under-rated guitarist ever. I know it's all about the songwriting, but his guitar parts are fun and interesting. He's a damn good player and inventive too.

Unbelievable Talent !

That's not an Elvis Costello concert. It's an Elvis Costello and The Attractions concert. There's a difference. Also, I happened to see them on this tour, at their July 1996 show in Madrid. It was simply amazing. Outdoors, but intimate, at the Cuartel del Conde Duque. The folks I was sitting beside gave me one of thier backstage passes and, after a quick chat, he signed the 'All this Usless Beauty' t-shirt I had bought. I've no idea what happened to it. All by chance, because I had just arrived for a few days business and happened to see an advert in a newspaper that I couldn't read at the office I was visiting. Next thing you know, I'm about 8 rows from the front. A very happy memory.

I’m kind of a purist when it comes to this song, but this was amazing! The arrangement was really unique in exploring such a brilliant chord progression. And Costello! Wow! I’ve always loved his voice, but never really thought of him as a great singer. I would’ve thought an arrangement/style like this would’ve been too big for him… boy was I wrong! What great rendition all the way around.
