The only way that shows up on screen is if you play in window mode using Shadowplay. I don't play in window mode. I only play in full screen. I got tired of turning G-Sync on and off in the control panel when enabling G-Sync in window mode. It's a thing and when programs use GPU acceleration and window mode is on the program is sluggish and slow. Plus, all the videos are uploaded and pending. I've tried to get Nvidia over lay to record in the past and doesn't work in full screen. When playing games the CPU is 5.7GHz and the GPU is pegged at 2.8GHz on this game. I had to set the game to use only 8 CPU cores otherwise the game would drop FPS to a crawl during the bigger fights. I finally figured this out halfway through the game in Part 7.

I bought the game when it came out many moons ago. I just recently installed it on Windows 10 to see if it would work and then just recorded it.

1080p, in one of the videos with the 4790K I go through the settings. All settings max at 1080p.

It's in the description how I installed it. But I used the DVD. Just pop in the disc and open it to view files. Go down to the exe and right click and run as administrator. It takes a long time, but it will install. Just do not run the auto run. It took over 5 minutes to start on my 9900K and another 15 or 20 minutes to finish. All the old ID software discs behave the same way. I installed Quake 4 with the same long time wait.

Simple, in my old videos I showed how old PCs can play new games, like, playing MW3 or BLOPS6 on a 10-year-old PC and people don't have to run out and get the latest and greatest PC to play these games, and in the past I would get questions like will my PC run this game and what not, so another reason I do it. And since I keep my old PCs in rotation and then repropose them as ether storage server or workhorse. You may not be a tech spec person, but most people are curious that their old PC can still run this or that game and what kind of frame rate to expect. So, it's now a thing and who ever watches the video knows what PC i'm currently using and I don't have to answer any questions about the specs, its all in the description (saves me time typing, like this comment). And yeah, I'm in a rut in the roller coaster of views but it will pick back up during the winter. Does this answer your question?

Yeah, I really don't care, it goes in waves where I'll get some views and then it tanks. Nothing I can do or care to. I'm just uploading for the one fella that wants to sit down at watch a match for whatever reason or another. Plus, it gives me something to do when I'm not playing or watching some show or video.

It's a habit from multiplayer and PTSD of running out of bullets. In the early days of MP I always ran out of ammo right in the middle of a fight. So, I reload as much as I can when I have a bit of time.

I didn't notice since I use GSync and cap my FPS to my monitor refresh rate to 240. And saying that, I haven't noticed any difference. I have it all set up that way in my control panel and set it that way every driver update. Frankly I'm actually getting sick of nvidia updating their drivers every 2 freakin days. It used to be once every 2 - 3 months down to a month and now it's like every 2 weeks and I have 3 PCs that has to go through this freaking update and I'm getting tired of it lol.

@@feeterican I think its because recently people have been facing many issues with Nvidia drivers. You could check the forums too, they're already asking for a new one for a hotfix.

@@feeterican I'll also try turning on gsync + vsync in nvcp EDIT - Turns out you were right, enabling gsync in nvcp smoothened my experience
