Hey Rocket, I just wanted to comment and tell you how much I appreciate videos like this. Babe's seems like an excellent place to visit and the length of these videos provides a perfect opportunity to showcase the owners, the property itself, and the clientele. It's tough with the shorter videos to really tell that message and, unfortunately, get picked up by the algorithm.

Thanks for going out there and showing us these stories! Anyone running a small farm at the mercy of commodity markets has been fighting an uphill battle for years now, but I think it’s all about to change and their hard work and dedication will put them on top.

Im not from Strafford or even the northeast, but i left my home town and i remember the moment i did the Sam Gamgee thing of 'if i take one more step, it'll be the furthest Ive ever been from home'. This song represents that to me, and so does this video

One of the biggest problems here in Vermont is that not enough hunters and gun owners vote. They like to bitch about losing rights, but don’t vote to stop it. I was born and raised in Vermont and still live here, but I’m out of here as soon as I can, Vermont is lost

"Gun culture" is dying in new england. Another few election cycles and ME, NH, and VT will look just like NY, MA, and CT from a taxation and legislation standpoint.

Vermont is the original "gun state." What is now widely referred to as "Constitutional Carry" used to be called "Vermont Carry." If you were a resident, you'd go to the gun shop, pick out a gun, show them your ID, take your background check, make your purchase, and leave with your new firearm. In fact, the gun culture here in VT was exactly the same long before the background check system was instituted, and gun violence here was basically zero. Now there's a three-day waiting period before you can take the gun home. There are magazine capacity restrictions, red flag laws, safe storage laws, plus more and more laws being introduced at the state house all the time. Our politicians (bolstered by all our new voters who come from out of state) are always looking for new restrictions. This while gangs like the Crips and Bloods have come and set up camp. The Outlaws Motorcycle Club has been looking around for a place to set up. Drugs and crime have exploded here. Aggressive pan handling is happening on every corner and every grocery store parking lot in every larger town and city. Illegal immigrants are here in real numbers and taking construction and farming jobs, working for peanuts when VT natives can't find work to support themselves. Why now, politicians? Why are you attacking guns now when we could really use that sense of security that comes along with them? There's never been a gun violence problem here, ever. But now our RINO governor and the whiney leftists in our state government are all concerned. Get ready, VT. They're coming. Don't forget to vote.

@@leadhead7338 As a native Vermonter, regarding our newest gun laws eg. limited capacity magazines I remind myself that this happened during a Republican governorship. (Which defies historical party norms) and the way we as a state have always been. In my opinion our governor won because he raced in the high $$$ “late model” division at Thunder Road! SMH…Look at how Mr. Scott handled the flooding we had in Central VT this year…he didn’t! Leaving many people without livable conditions to live in, by not declaring any emergency? Though I had several out of state NGO’s at least try to help us get help, but not from Ol’ Phil Scott! Everything you both said above my comment is true. Vermont isn’t & hasn’t been “Newhart” for what…30 years or so? It’s true, Vermont has had a very long history of gun ownership, hunting, & self sustainability…as well as community. No longer. More & more people that can’t even speak English just seemed to “pop up” in the last six months to year. The drug use is absolutely rampant, and no…I’m not talking about the ridiculous “war on opioids” waged on good people, no…I’m talking about the youth of VT dropping like flies from S. American & Chibese fentanyl cut with the toxic drug eg “Tranq” or Xylozene. But don’t worry, VT found a way to make bank on this via our newly formed privatized prison system, where our youth end up if not dead. Oh…and the “clinics” on every corner in every town that supply these young people with a never ending supply of “Bupe”, usually MANDATED by the courts here…eg none of these people are getting better, they’re just getting high off government controlled dope in the name of rehabilitation. The states a wreck! VT is a shell of what it used to be. And I fear will never return to what it was.

Vermont is a beautiful state. Been there many times when my son went to college there. At first glance you wouldn’t believe it’s a degenerate leftist state. It’s also the whitest state I’ve ever been to. We were in Montpelier in August for a day, and literally saw no black or Hispanic people the entire time we were there. We did see a bunch of white kids wearing “Black Lives Matter” shirts. 🤣

They aren’t weighing deer anymore they’re still reporting station but they said the hunters have been very rude in the past when there’s a line of people buying guns they show up with their deer demanding that they get looked at and weighed immediately. He said it’s a headache and they’re not willing to deal with it anymore, and I only know of one store still weighing deer, Fish and wildlife department are allowing us to report them online and approximate the weight 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@leadhead7338 Extremely insulting!!!!! I've been hunting from think almost 40 years don't know too many rude hunters checking in gear. If anything extremely happy!!! The problem is the gun shop the gun shop does not want to check deer. Because it isn't INCONVENIENCE. Is the courtesy done for the state there is no prophet made for the store. So they do not want to take time away from the store to check in the animal. So now you have the store owners blaming it on the HUNTERS BEING RUDE DISRESPECTFUL.👎👎👎👎😡

This was very inspiring. As an addict/alcoholic with twenty three years of sobriety, I just want to encourage folks actively suffering from addiction that help is available, that there are people who care for and believe in you, and another way of living is possible. You’ve got this! Don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for help. Whether you use or not, I encourage everyone to carry Naloxone and learn how and when to use it. You could literally save a life. Big love and encouragement from the hills in Colorado!
