The violinist, smiley as he is in the video, is a cold character outside of the concert. Recounting my encounter of him after a concert when I tried to approach late Sonam Sherpa back in Gurgaon October 2013 during the October Fest. Not a nice experience to be smitten by 'Open Skies' act and to be encountered by a cold act. Almost bordering racist.

Iron maiden was impressed by them that they got them to perform at download festival back in the day . Some performance that was . For kid born in mid 80s these band meant the world to us . They were the ogz of the scene back in the days. I saw them live at thapar university festival . It was fun time when it wasnt easy excess metal music

Sonam sir taught me lead riffs. Wish he were alive. He would have been real proud to see his student playing in front of stadium audiences. Miss you sir. Never got to say goodbye.
