I can relate with your timeline, I started my audio company right out of college in 1989,i remember when JL audio was selling out of a van going from state to state i still have some of my audio gear from the 80's in storage.

Actually, you can cut the cigarette lighter end off and strip the power and ground wires inside and hardwire it that way 😊
