I removed the old surface mount capacitor and the pads were fused to the bottom of the capacitor and ripped off the board... I even mixed in low-melt solder but they were fused to the bottom :( I was able to use my microscope and find 2 traces on the negative side and 2 traces on the positive side and scrape off the green board material to expose the copper and was able to bend the wire legs on a new 220uf 25V capacitor and solder them to the exposed traces, and I was very happy when I turned the power back on! I can see my display again! Thanks for the video!

We have the same range with the same issue. I used your video as a guide and fixed it!!! I used a 100uf 25 volt capacitor on mine and it worked fine. A big thank you for taking the time to post this video!!

Now if only a way to dim it. Mine is obnoxiously bright. I lay a towel over it at night.

Hi Julian, this is quite a common problem with this Samsung model as well. I am surprised that I not seen any other videos covering this particular problem. Thanks for taking the time
