Hi Bernie, Thanks for sharing your slog-3 footage. It helps me a lot in practicing colorgrading Slog-3 footage to HDR and it also helps me to make choices in which camera I will buy. Can you tell me with which ISO setting you filmed the scene with the clock? The metadata is missing.

Hello. I have a 4k clip shooted in 25fps. I slowed down by 50% I copied it selected both darken or lighten have moved by 1 and even 2 frames but still flickering

Hi bro have you tried connecting this small rig charger with the supplied adapter of the sony a7,? my a7iii only comes with this charger that you directly plug to the camera Will it make any faster Charging difference My smallrig dual charger with samsung mobile usb charger takes like 5-6h to get full charge Thanks

Hey Bernie, I love everything about this video ❤ The mood, the editing, and the color grading - without a doubt, this is a 10/10! How did you manage to have barely any noise in your slow-motion footage, even though you were filming in S-Log3 and in low-light conditions? Whenever I film in S-Log3 and slow-mo (4K 60fps), I end up having a lot of noise in my (unusable) footage. Thanks for your Feedback!

As for the nighttime shots, I stay with 2500 native ISO for darker scenes and adjust the EI value accordingly to get the cleanest images possible. For example, if it's really dark I go from 6400 to 10,000 EI value while maintaining the 2500 base ISO and they did the trick for me in those shots. I get little to no noise which is amazing for this camera and lens combo. Yes, the f/2.8 Sigma lens helped a lot. And when editing the clips, I didn't use any denoiser plugin at all, like Neat video for example. I hope these help. Have a blast filming and thank you again for watching! 🙏🏽

@@BernieHipos which frame rate did you use for the slow mo scenes? 60fps? Did you use any LUTs when editing or did you just Film in S-Cinetone and made some Adjustments?

@@Mike_Owusu, the slow motion shots were 60fps. And yes I used a LUT called Utopia from Phantom LUTs of Joel Famularo. They're amazing and I highly recommend them. All clips were filmed in S-Log3/S-Gamut3.cine.

Have you had any issues with the quick release? I have 2 and they keep "jamming" up. I have to use alot of muscle power to release them. Quite confusing. Do you have any tips?

@IvarNesheim, I only experience issues if I over tighten them. What I do now once the plate snaps (locks in place) I no longer push the lock even more to tighten it. Yesterday I was on a shoot and the Sony Monitor and camera app was kind of a nightmare, and I was just trying to use 1 camera (FX30) and my iPhone. Took me forever to get it connected but once I did it worked until I turned off my camera or closed my iPhone. When starting my camera back up it would always give the failed to connect to the camera warning and then I would have to fiddle for over 20 minutes trying to get it to connect again. Cannot remember what sort of worked but basically kept having to turn off bluetooth or remove the camera from the app other wise it would never pair even after pairing the first time before I shut the camera down? Any body have success getting it to work properly or what the exact way is to get it working and keep working automatically every time I want to use it or turn my camera off? Seems pretty useless if just turning the camera off makes this happen? Thanks !

@@froggiefrogman4190 , I still have it and still going strong and no major issues so far. The only issue I had was when the dashboard was throwing different codes regarding the auto start/stop. It’s now been fixed by changing the plastic connector that’s located under the glove box. The dealer just replaced that part and reconnected the wires and it’s been running great ever since. It’s a known issue for JT’s and JL’s as well. I don’t drive it that much these days and just crossed the 50K kilometer mark (about 31,000 miles). I had this lens for around 4 years ago, i sold it and I got the new one g2 version but definitely I missed this lens , af is kinda slow and noisy but bookeh and image quality of this lens is amazing. You option for the macro shoot too. So today I ordered the same lens again.

I have the a6000 as well and a old Canon FD Lense with the same adapter as in the video and it works fine! The is another canon mount called EF, so make sure to check which mount your lense needs!

I just got a Ronin RS3 and if I connect via Bluetooth I can no longer connect to the Monitor App, Is that normal? Bummer really , I guess Ronin is using the Bluetooth so the app can no longer connect to the Camera and Monitor app..

@ekphotography, my guess is that you can only connect one device at a time. If the RS3 has WiFi connection, that might solve the issue, which I believe the RS3 doesn't have. @@BernieHipos Thanks for responding, The RS3 does not have Wifi connection but my FX3 and FX30 do but every time I try to connect via wifi it does not ask the camera to make it's own wifi but ask to connect to a wifi network which is weird. So I know the camera and app are suppose to work through Bluetooth or a wifi connection but the wifi connection is supposed to be created from the camera and not a typical wifi which baffles me...

@@ekphotography, no problem at all! Have you tried plugging-in either your phone or camera via USB-C, that way you'll only have one device connected via bluetooth? I haven't tried it on my Ronin-S but it might work with your RS3. If not, I hope that you'll be able to find a solution the soonest.

I wanted to let you know you will want to turn off power supply via USB in the camera settings, otherwise the camera will draw power from your iPhone. Which is probably not the best for battery health in the longterm. The creators app actually suggests this as a step when setting up.

Make sure your camera settings "USB power supply via USB" is off, otherwise, and I noticed this very quickly luckily, it will draw power from your iPhone, which I'm sure is not good for battery health in the long run, and may be contributing to your overheating issue. This is actually a suggested step when setting it up with creators app. Although if you are using WIFI connection I'm not sure.

Hai, i've got questions. Since FX30 is APSC camera, its already crop 1.5x right? But when shoot in 4K format. It will double crop again 1.5x ? example 18mm x 1.5x x 1.5x

@akiddanish7950, the FX30 has a 6K sensor and has a slight crop factor of 1.04x when filming in 4K. The additional crop only applies when filming in 4K 120fps which is 1.62x. I hope I answered your question. Thanks for asking and for watching the video! 🙏🏽
